Vehicle Detail
Amazing 3 owner car. All original with the exception of the beautiful Jade green paint and a new headliner. Even the original upholstery is perfect, having been protected by clear plastic covers. The car obviously spent most of its life in a garage. Even the rubber floor mats are original with the Plymouth emblem on them. I bought this car from Drager Classics in Seattle in 2009. There is still an active YouTube video on line that I could not improve on. Since I've owned the car, I've added a new headliner, new clutch, new shocks new battery, NOS wheel rims, new spark plugs and wires. The car starts easily, doesn't smoke and drives great with the 3 speed manual transmission in overdrivethe engine is nearly silent when cruising at 60 mph. All the chrome looks to be original and is in great shape. All the glass is perfect with no fogging. All lights inside and out work perfectly, even the courtesy light and dash lights work. The heater and three speed fan work well. The engine compartment and trunk are clean ( not immaculate ) This car has been a pleasure to own and drive to local car shows. You don't see another one like i tand its fun to visit with folks who owned or rode in the back seat while Dad took the wheel The pictures tell the story, a nice old car, a low reserve and a lot of fun on the weekends. On Oct-25-12 at 12:24:13 PDT, seller added the following information: Oct 25 I hope these additional descriptions will answer questions I've received . Thanks to everyone for their interest. I can assist in loading the car for shipment. I would not suggest buying a 59 year old car sight unseen and try to drive it cross country. The steering and brakes are good and the car does not "wander" or smoke. The speedometer works accurately. It has a new speedo cable. The old one "jerked". The odometer works but probably lies. All the window cranks work. the vent windows work and the glass is all clear. Bondo? who knows? If so, it doesn't show. The doors all open and close tight and they don't rattle. The tires are old but serviceable. I had innertubes put in all the tires and have had no flats. I have both fender skirts The one not shown in the pictures is missing the mounting hardware. As for trades -- this will probably be my last old car and while the idea of trading for a hot motorcycle appeals to me, I'm not sure I could raise my 74 year old leg high enough to mount it. I've removed the reserve price so the high bidder takes home a nice old car. Good luck bidding.
