Vehicle Detail

THIS CAR IS ONE OF 15 IN THE REGISTRY IM TOLD, Sold new in Inglewood CA, I also have the Marti report showing it was ordered with the colony park paneling (can e-mail it if needed). I have a folder full of Restoration Receipts from the mid nineties and had the factory diamond white paint redone, new chrome bumpers, new 3 M for the paneled sides, with a letter from 3M's son apoligizing for not getting the material to the owner on time. P/Top with real glass that works perfect!!, parade cover, PS, PB, Auto, Factory 390 Big Block 4 BBL, C-6 Auto transmission, Tilt wheel, Whisperair AC (could blow colder maybe a little low on freon), Power windows, conveience control panel, Very Straight Body w/No Rust Showing Through Anywhere, Runs And Drives great just like it should, I have the Build Sheet, factory jack instructions, original owners manual, Very Rare Collector Drop Top. This car is 1 of 53 ordered withese paint and trim codes. 65 more pics here>>>> http://rickshotrods.shutterfly.com/pictures. Has a 2 in tear in roof, crack in pass rear tailight (see pics), rear 1/4 glasses arent working, (probably a switch), Interior is the original blue vinyl, carpet is showing age(fading a little) wear on drivers side of seat, there is a dent on the trunk edge but no paint damage, its hard to see will try and get a picture of it, turn signal switch in column just stopped working.Heater has been bypassed not sure why it was like that when I traded for it. There are very minor wear marks from being driven and parked in the family garage. Its not a perfect car but as you can see its very nice and for the price you can fix the few things mentioned and still be in the car at a great price, find another one this price to compare it to. Overall a great example of a very rare mercury convertible. I found one to compare it to in Hawaii for $25K, This one is know where near that price. Please call with any and all ???s before bidding or buying, I will be glad to get any additional pictures or info needed. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME RICK 214-732-7425 UP UNTIL MIDNIGHT, I WILL SELL TO OVERSEA BUYERS AS I HAVE SENT SEVERAL CLASSICS OUT OF THE COUNTRY. ITS SELLING CHEAP, SO DONT DRAG YOUR FEET!!!! REMEMBER ITS AN OLD CAR SO PLEASE DO NOT EXPECT A PEFECT LIKE NEW SHOW CAR.PLEASE ASK ANY AND ALL ???s BEFORE BIDDING OR BUYING. I TRY TO COVER THE GOOD AND THE BAD SO ASK FOR PICS OR ASK ???S http://youtu.be/TXinT8YLiR4 Heres a video of me driving it, the reason I hit the brakes so hard is, if you look close on left side just above dash right before the end of the video a big dog runs out in front of me, I almost hit it, the big boat has very good brakes!!! Dog wasnt hit. FOR TRANSPORTING QUOTES CALL TOM @ 817-403-4043 HE'S HONEST AND VERY FAIR I found this on google, this is not my car: 1968 Mercury Park Lane news, pictures, and information:Wood grain-applied trim was used almost exclusively on station wagons. It was rare to see that trim, which was referred to as 'yacht paneling', on a passenger car. This is one of only 15 Mercurys built in 1968 with that trim. The Park Lane series featured a newly-designed instrument panel for 1968 as well as new exterior trim touches that included full-length tire level moldings, wheel well 'lips' and three slanted trim panels on the roof quarter panels. Power was supplied by an overhead valve V-8 that developed 315 horsepower from 390 cubic-inches. Only 1,112 Mercury Park Lane convertibles were built in 1968. I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE ALL BIDDERS TO COME AND PERSONALLY INSPECT AND DRIVE (YOU CAN EVEN BRING YOUR OWN MECHANIC). OPINIONS ARE JUST THAT - OPINIONS - WHAT I THINK IS A 10 YOU MIGHT NOT AGREE WITH ME - SO PLEASE COME AND INSPECT - B/C IF YOU WIN THE AUCTION - THE VEHICLE IS YOURS. NOT BEING RUDE, BUT IF YOU ARE A BIDDER THAT IS EXTREMELY PICKY AND CANNOT BE PLEASED OR A WHINER- PLEASE DO NOT BID ON MY AUCTION, GET OUT NOW. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT IS UNDER THE PAINT. I DO NOT KNOW THE EXACT MILEAGE AND USAGE ON THE DRIVE LINE. IT IS AN OLD VEHICLE WITH SOME IMPERFECTIONS THAT I MAY HAVE OVERLOOKED, SO PLEASE CALL AND ASK QUESTIONS, OR AGAIN, I ENCOURAGE ALL BIDDERS TO INSPECT BEFORE BUYING. IF YOU DON’T, THE VEHICLE IS SOLD AS IS, WHERE IS. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO DESCRIBE EVERY TINY DETAIL ABOUT THESE OLDER VEHICLES, SO PLEASE EXPECT SOME FLAWS FROM BEING DRIVEN. THIS IS NOT A PERFECT SHOW CAR… SO PLEASE PLEASE DON’T EXPECT ONE. IT’S A USED VEHICLE, NOT A NEW ONE! Warranty Disclaimer : This vehicle is being sold as is, without any warranty, expressed or implied. So ask questions prior to bidding please.
