1978 Suzuki GS

For sale is a 1978 Suzuki GS 1000. I am not sure of the sub model but the frame VIN is : GS1000104647 and the engine VIN is: GS1000107097. The bike in the photos is the bike for sale and the particulars are as follows: The bike has been sitting for about a year, I have had it for a few months and has been in doors the entire time. The bike was brought to me by a kid with a dream who was hoping I could fix it for him. A quick estimate evaporated his dreams and thus it is for sale. My inspection revealed the following: Headlight assembly and front signals needed. Harness is present and complete. Ignition, Tank, Seat locks- keys missing locks need replacement. Fork Seals needed as well as boots Battery- Needed 1 spark plug hole needs to be chased, 1 will need a heli-coil. Rear rim will need a couple of spokes. Tires have decent tread but will need to be replaced for inspection. The motor does turn over freely and if a battery is installed all circuits work as expected. This bike will have to be completely serviced to be made roadworthy but as far as barn finds go it is in very good shape. I have not done a compression check, I have inspected the inside of the gas tank and it is spotless. It will need a petcock seal though. I did pull the carbs and they are pretty clean inside with all parts and stock jetting though I imagine an o-ring kit will do wonders. The intake boots are still pliable and in serviceable condition but the intake o-rings will need to be replaced as 3 are flattened and dried, 1 is completely shot and currently at the bottom of my trash can. The plastic side covers are missing and there appeared at one time to be a grab rail of sorts bolted to the seat which is not present either. This bike has single disc front and rear. If you need a parts bike you not find a better donor, if you are looking to restore a classic GS, this will definitely fit the bill and not kill your budget. I can deliver within 50 miles for gas money, all payments should be made through paypal or in person, in cash, before delivery. There is no chance of my accepting any type of check or money order or wire transfer so don't bother. I will not accpet your inheritance and ship the bike at my expense to dubai or something.
