Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1977 Bandit T/A. Clear California title in my name. I bought this from the original owner several years ago, and stored it in my garage ever since. Original motor, tranny, rear end, 15x7 snowflake wheels. Original California car, sold in Whittier, CA. Attached are pics of the PHS docs, authenticating this as a real Special Edition car. Factory equipped with black Lombardi cloth interior (orig seats gone when I got her, but replaced with original correct 77 seats shown in pics), console, 8 track, power everything, A/C, Hurst hatch T-tops, rear defrost, lighted vanity mirror. I never started the cosmetic restoration of this car, but the bottom of this car is all new. New complete front suspension (ball joints, inner/outer tie rods, idler arm, etc), new front polygraphite bushings in front. Rears not installed yet, but included with car. Complete brake system is new (calipers, master, wheel cylinders with hardware, all soft brake lines replaced, etc). All new KYB shocks at all four corners. All four tires have great tread, hold air, and front end alignment has just been done. EGR and leaky pass side valve cover gasket replaced, and brand new battery. Car starts right up, idles like brand new, sounds awesome, shifts smooth, and drives great. Just replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter. I have not touched the A/C system, but it's all there, and I have no reason to think that it needs anything more than a recharge. As you can see from the pics, the T-tops leaked, and both rear floor wells need patches, and the body has small amounts of rust in all the usual places you see on 70-81 F-body cars (rear window, bottom of fenders, and bottom of quarters behind rear wheels. Most of this can be done with simple patch panels, but a proper restoration should get new quarters. This is a great California car, and a perfect candidate for a restoration. Paint, body, interior, and stickers, and you've got a real deal Bandit Trans Am for a fraction of the price of the fully restored ones. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. Look at my feedback and seller history and you can see that I'm a great ebayer who is honest and straightforward. The only reason I'm selling this car is to fund the restoration of my 1970 Ram Air III 4 speed Trans Am. Buyer is responsible for any shipping details, or the car can be picked up locally. I also have this listed on local classifieds, so I reserve the right to end this auction early if it sells locally.e Thanks for looking at my auction, and good luck bidding!!! Rupen Several people have asked, and YES, the T-tops are included, as well as the original deluxe cloth insert door panels. I noticed this morning that the heater is bypassed, so assume that it will need a new heater core. Also, the A/C fan does not blow because the wire on the firewall is unplugged, and I cannot reach in there to reconnect it. Easy fix once the fender is removed for bodywork/paint, or you could simply unbolt the inner fender to get access to the blower fan from the wheel well. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THIS IS A PROJECT CAR... and thank you all for the emails and interest in the car. This is a NO RESERVE auction, and it will sell at the end of this weekend.
