Beautiful original condition is the best way to describe this well maintained convertible.The car has only 94K original miles.I have a folder of original service records and the original maintenance booklet with stampings for service done from new.Also,all the original manuals,booklets,and original pamphlets,keys,top tool,and even the original new vehicle purchaser's temporary operating permit from Feb.9 1982, where the car was bought brand new in Corona,California,which is a suburb of Riverside County.It never left California,so you can be comfortable knowing that this car is completely free of any kind of rust.It is super dry and clean from top to bottom. This beautiful 1982 380SL model is extremely nice.It was of course garaged and maintained extremely well with no surprises.It has the original 3.8 litre V-8 engine.The timing chain was upgraded in the late 80's to the dual timing chain through the Mercedes gratis program.It runs and drives extremely well.Runs on all 8 cylinders perfectly.No fuel injection or idling problems.Steers and brakes perfectly.The exhaust was recently replaced.Long distance driving would not be a problem at all.It has very expensive upgraded centra wheels and 15"tires.Tires are in great shape with alot of tread left.The centra wheels are very hard to come by because they do not make them anymore.This is the real centra wheels,not aftermarket.All 4 wheels are very nice with almost no defects.They were put on by the original dealership in 1982. I am sure you will be very pleased with the cosmetics of the car.The silver paint is outstanding.No dings or car scratches.Nice original hardtop with nice paint.Never been in any accidents with a perfect original body.Paint has no color defects like clearcoat issues or sun fading.It was garaged and never left outside.The gray interior sparkles.It does have original leather seats that are in beautiful shape.No rips or abrasions.Seatbelts operate well.Nice original carpets.Very clean inside.Never smoked in and just well preserved for original.Trunk has the original carpet throughout and in excellent condition. Everything on the car is in very good condition.No broken parts of any kind.Always kept detailed,so there is no cleaning necessary.This is a very fine automobile that has become a very desirable and collectible in the classic car market.It will continue to go up in value as time goes on,especially low mile cars that were kept original.
