This is a 2000 Pontiac Sunfire seized by the Milford DE Police Department pursuant to a criminal investigation. The vehicle was running and being driven when stopped and subsequently seized. The Vehicle was awarded to the City of Milford by the Delaware Superior Court and the City of Milford has a clear title. The vehicle is in fair to good condition. It is dirty, and has numerous dents and dings although there is no functional damage. There are areas where the clear coat is peeling and also a small area on the RR bumper which appears to have been painted with touch up paint. The paint is glossy but in need of some TLC. The tires hold air but they should be replaced before being used on public roadways. The car is missing wheel covers and the trunk lock has been broken and will not accept a key. Interior needs cleaning and there are small plastic covers on the console missing. The front windshield is cracked and there are wires exposed in the passenger compartment (apparently from the stereo or an alarm???) The car will start with a "Jump Box" but once shut off, it will not re-start. Most likely, the battery is bad. The car is sold AS-IS with no warranty. The City of Milford strongly encourages the winning bidder to have vehicle checked by a knowledgeable mechanic before using the car in regular service. The City of Milford does not retain the proceeds from this sale. Monies are awarded to the State of Delaware and for this reason, no repairs, adjustments, or parts will be added. The buyer is responsible to bring what is needed to remove the vehicle after the auction. The City of Milford DOES NOT finance, does not accept credit cards, and will not end the auction early to sell privately. High Bidder takes the vehicle and they MUST contact seller within 3 days after end of auction to provide buyer name, address, DOB, license state and license number. If there is no contact within 3 days, the auction is VOID and the car will be re-listed. Winning Bidder has 10 days to remove vehicle after auction close. The City of Milford accepts Cash, Personal Checks, and Certified Checks. We reserve the right to decline Credit Card Checks if they appear to be copies or have cosmetic discrepancies.
