Up for bid is a 1996 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon, collectors edition loaded up with leather and power everything. No Rust. Has tow options but never had a tow hitch, option includes HD radiator with transmission cooler, HD shocks, a 2.56 positraction rear powered by GM's Corvette inspired multiport LT1 V8 engine and 4L60E 4 speed automatic transmission. Another rare option a locking gas cap (see picture) no big deal in '96, but today at almost $4 per gallon??? These roadmasters get 25 mpg highway and16/20 mpg in town. The roof rack shown in picture is from my Buick just for the photo, the previous owner never installed them; I have them brand new in the wrapper, he said he would never be carrying anything on the roof and it's just extra weight and wind resistence (they are in my mother in laws garage) they go with the car. Condition Report ENGINE: Starts easy and purrs, newer battery, uses no oil (just changed with Castrol Edge full synthetic 10/30) TRANSMISSION: Performs flawlessly, clean fluid, shifts perfectly. EXTERIOR: Body is very straight and solid. No body rust, a couple of tiny dings. Paint - paint is super nice and shiny, no notable issues. Way above average for the age wood. The facia fake wood trim was removed and painted, lower brake trim has only a couple of minor dings, no cracks or tears in the plastic bumper. Rubber side trim is present, glass is all nice with no rock chips, under carriage and frame are solid with no rust, no rust in door jambs or tail gate sil either as seen in pictures. Aluminum wheels are in great shape with all center caps present and also in excellent condition. INTERIOR: Interior is in excellent condition as reflected by the low mileage, carpets are nice and clean, dash has no cracks, door panels are in great shape, headliner is excellent with tears or sagging, leather seats are perfect with minimal wear on the drivers seat. Steering wheel excellent, non smokers car, no odors. ELECTRICAL STUFF: All inspection items work (lights, button horn, wipers, etc.) all the power stuff works properly including power windows, power locks, dual power seats, hot heater and cold air conditioner, tilt, cruise, am/fm cassette, power antenna, rear window release, keyless entry, twilight sentinel, intermittent wipers and rear defrosters work properly. DRIVABILITY: Drives great - tight and quiet and strong. Steering is tight, suspension tight, and tracks straight. ABS brakes are excellent with new linings (front). Premium white wall tires have a little over 5,000 miles on them since new. Solid, quiet exhaust with no leaks. Rear end is quiet, hop in and drive anywhere. My wife and I both drive roadmasters, my 95 roadmaster has 278,000 miles, it failed about 100 miles from home and had the car towed to a local shop. The guy was a nightmare and after 3 months he was still waiting for parts; I replaced the car with the 96 we have advertised with 45,000 miles on it from Fred Lesinski (Mr. Roadmaster) Fred has bought and sold over 50 Roadmasters, he's a walking encyclopedia and currently lives in South Carolina. I have several Roadmaster friends who have done business with Fred and gave him a great recommendation. I bought this Roadmaster on eBay and paid $6,500 (a bargain) with 45,000 miles. The tires were good but mismatched, it also had a stain on the hood; I bought new tires and had the paint work done, we've put 5,000 miles on the car, my 95 is back on the road, runs like new and I can't bear to part with it. I'm 79 yrs old (80 in January) and have decided to sell the 96. GO FOR IT!!
