double cab restored dove blue and and impressive ! hello selling this recently restored 1966 double cab for a friend it will go to the highest bidder... ___please read the full item description---------... painted back to its original dove blue marked on the sticker that was behind the seat .. this double cab was taken down to bare metal for body work prep and paint for a very nice "like new" finish , it comes with a 1500cc single port engine in good running condition ...this is a stock double cab..stock interior, stock exterior and color paint scheme and stock height ,,,not modified or lowered or hacked like most you see out there,,,,, one you step into this 1966 vw you will think you are in the 60's visitng a vw dealer ship....you will find everything new inside..even some "new car smell"....that is how nice this crew cab is. some of the feutures are but not limited to : - 12 volt system electrical in working order including : horn, inside dome lights (2) , tail lights/stop lights, turn signals, emergency lights... _ new safari windows and seals from wolfgang int. -- new sun visors. - THE REAR "GATES" ARE FUNCTIONAL AND OPEN AND CLOSE PERFECTLY...THEY ARE STRaight AS CAN BE AND JUST PERFECT IN MY OPINION -it comes with 4 BRAND NEW GOODYEAR white wall TIRES WITH 60K WARRANTY and a a like new spare white wall tire and with over 95% thread left - Reconditioned and painted gray roof rack - all new door panels including correct screws and correct push pins for the front doors. examine pictures for details -The bed of this truck is as straight and as nice as they get...if you see it you would think this truck is brand new in 1966 and just out of the dealer -all dash board knobs are there including new dash grab handle - original uncut dash comes with all of its knobs and a motorola am "late 60's period correct" radio to make the dash complete....(condition is unknown.....but is best to just have a nice modern cd player hidden under the dash board...who listens to static am radio anyways??? ) - outside door handles with chrome in good condition condition the same with the rear passenger door handle examine picture to appreciate in better deail..I have .ignition key and is the same for both front doors...side rear door can be locked from the inside _ new front door inner door handles and door "pull" handles - all new original style interior gray masonite door panels/kick panels and head liner the best made by Clara in Wa. u.s.a. - new chromed window latches and wing locks both doors - Brand new nos hella front turn signals and new tail lights. -restored head lights including very nice headlight rings - - recovered front and rear seats following original color and factory specs color and design in excellent condition .exactly as original from the factory back in 1966....mesh gray style _new rear view mirror also new exterior door mirrors - original front rubber floor mat stamped with vw part number..in the rear there is also the original and hard to find passenger area rubber floor mat from in good condition...please examine pictures for details - all new door rubber and seals/ window seals -Brand new battery _ hub caps painted and detailed in the original gray "commercial" color - the under side of this crew cab has also been cleaned portrcted with under seal and painted to match the color of the body this 66 double cab runs and stops good..tranny doesn't pop out of any gear..i DROVE IT around the block where I leave a couple of times to get a good feel of its condition ..this in my personal opinion is a show quality restoration,,,,but that's just my opinion ..examine pictures for details...wipers motor end all mechanisim parts are present and installed on the crew cab...and in working order at the pull of the switch on the dashboard..no wipers blades/arms are installed ,,any ways,,this d.c. doesn't go out to play on rainy days just on perfect california sunny days ..it is a very nice toy to have and a great investment..that will only go up in value..unlike you ford explorer or your toyota camry,,,,this double cab comes with a box of extra parts including extra set of front turn signal lenses ,real tail lights and housing, a brand new brake master cylnder and a brand new door wing vent window lock to replace the one that is broken that is on it now and a few other misc. parts selling this 1966 vw crew cab for a friend I am currently holding the keys and title signed indicating the release of interest and ready to be signed by the new owner, it comes with a clear california title and rear plate as shown in the pictures and reg till 02/12..I don't consider myself to be an expert in vw's or any other cars..I just try to document with pictures the current condition of the truck and I try to describe this vw with words in this text to the best of my ability.....please reffer to my feed back..it is still 100% positive almost for 10 years......now examine pictures and BID TO WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ****odometer reading is 07418 but I am sure this is not the actual milage and milage exceeds the odometer mechanical limits..ALL SALES ARE FINAl...no returns***no refunds, full or partial**no warrantys / guarantees written or implied/ this is a used restored vehicle 47 year old, sold as is ****NO EXCEPTIONS * buyer has the option of personal inspection of the vehicle before end of auction. . bidding....for this german gem .starts at 1966 u.s.d.... $500 .00 deposit excpected within 24 hours after end of auction, payment in full within 5 business days... buyer is responsible for any transportation cost/expenses/taxes..etc but I will assist and communicate with your shipper to make your transportation process go smooth.
