Vehicle Detail
1941 PACKARD 160 models (Super 8) are classified as full classic automobiles by the Classic Car Club of America (CCCA). This example is an older full restoration that shows, drives, and runs VERY well. A 3 speed transmission with overdrive means that the 356 C.I. flat-head straight 8 engine is loafing at highway speeds. A total of only 208 Model 160s were built in 1941 making this a car rarely seen today. This car is production number 165 and was delivered to the famous PACKARD dealership in L.A., California, the E.C. Anthony dealer who was the largest in the country selling many PACKARDS to the Hollywood set. Included are many accessory options: Fog lamps, front & rear chrome bumper guards, running boards, wheel trim disks, radio, heater, clock, & wide white wall tires. After market equipment includes: Turn signals, seat belts, electric fuel pump, and a master cut-off switch. Non working items are: Clock, gas gauge (tho was working recently), PACKARD deluxe heater, ceiling courtesy light (a replacement is included), A horn relay has been added to the headlamp electrical circuit which produces brighter headlamps. A full set of extra keys for the ignition & doors are included as well as a PACKARD Shop Manual. A full history of previous owners will come with the car plus a log of repairs made & periodic maintenance attended to. This car has always operated at correct radiator temps even on the hottest of days and with good oil pressure. A very comfortable long distance runner traveling with distinction!
