Up for auction is a nice looking and great driving 1976 Triumph TR-6 ( does not have overdrive ). This car is purported to be a numbers matching car. I have done my research online and believe it to be so but you would need to do your own research to ensure that is the case. The vin / commission number is CF 56343 U, production date May 1976,engine number is CF 46262 UE, paint code is number 94 " Inca Yellow" ( only on the 1976 year model year ) and the trim number is 11 " Black ". If you run the trace through the Heritage-Motor-Centre.co.uk and it comes back like I think it will the value of the car will increase by at least $3000. The car is super original under the hood and still has all the smog equipment and emissions control equipment ( see photos ). The car runs out very strong and on 5/11/12/ the brake master cylinder was replaced, New front brake hoses, new flasher relay, new turn signal relay, valves adjusted and $334 was spent on labor to ensure the electrical system is working properly. The car handles very nice on the road for a 36 year old car.Last week I had the car serviced to include new plugs, new ignition wires, new rotor cap, new rotor button, new air filters, oil change and the radiator was drained / flushed and new coolant added. I also had 4 New tires put on and they only have 5 miles on them now. The carbs have excellent throttle response and I only run premium gas in the car. The car shifts up and down through all gears with no binding or grinding and down shifts nicely as well.The car will reverse up an incline with no noises or popping out of gear. All gauges including the tachometer, temp gauge, gas gauge, oil pressure gauge, amps gauge are working ( see photo ). The speedometer stopped working this week and I have ordered a new upper and lower cable and will try to get them installed prior to auctions end ( no promises but will try ). All front / rear running lights work, all front / rear turn signals work, brake lights work, back up lights work, licence plate light works, trunk light works, interior courtesy light works, head lights work high / low beam, horn works, wipers work, washer fluid pump works ( needs lines to the windshield jets checked ) and dash gauge lights work. The car starts right up at the touch of the key. The car does not smoke nor does the engine have any noises, rattles and does not shake about. The exhaust sounds great. The interior is in good serviceable / driving quality condition ( the drivers seat does have a tear and needs to be repaired ). The exterior looks good and appears to have had a very good repaint some time during it's life ( not perfect but of very nice driver quality ). Thee car still has all the original "Triplex" type windshield and door glass. The rocker panels inner / outer look good as well as the floor boards and trunk floor ( underbody photos upon request ).The car does not have a top cover or tonneau cover. The car is registered in my name and the plates are current and all taxes have been paid. I have all the paperwork showing that the title has been applied for and it should be here next week but this might vary as I have been told by the NC DMV. I have the paperwork showing what title number has been assigned and will issued to the car. I'm not an expert and my opinion of what a "driver" quality car is may vary from yours so please look at the photos closely and if you need more information or photos please ask prior to bidding. On Oct-19-12 at 08:40:05 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello All, Just a few updates: The hood catch spring broke and I over nighted one from VBC and have it installed and it is working but the hood edge closest to the windshield on the passengers inside is not fitting flush. I'm not an expert on these things so if I don't get it fit just right the winning bidder will need to do some tweaking when they get he car. The upper and lower speedometer cables have arrived and I'm not sure I have the skill set necessary to properly install them so the winning bidder will need to install them when they get the car. Also, I have been asked about the condition of the soft top and it will keep the rain off you but I would plan to replace it in the near future. The engine is tight and I have only found 1 small oil spot over the past 2 weeks and it appears to have come from the oil drain plug ( needs the brass washer is what I can tell ).
