There is no other car that captures the essence of British engineering more the Triumph TR6 which was ultimately Triumph’s best selling vehicle ever imported to the US. It had everything you needed in a personal sports car. From 1969 to 1976, the “Kam-style” design, which was derived from a consultancy contract from Karmann, was the most popular style of all TR’s and even still today, is the most sought after British sports car of its time. Featuring all the necessities you would ask for in a small foreign sports car such as an inline six cylinder, manual transmission, dual Weber carburetors and a throaty dual exhaust that was music to anyone’s ears as you whip through the side winding roads of the country. More importantly about this car is that, when inside of it and driving it, it changes your persona and puts you in a state of mind that makes you want to put a pair of tight leather gloves on, a muffler around your neck, a fancy little British hat and maybe a smoking pipe and let the cool breeze escape you from your everyday life, even if only for a short while. In other words, there are very few cars that makes you want to escape reality like the TR6. Now, finding them in this condition and this affordable is nearly impossible. This 1976 Triumph TR6 we offer you today has had over $40k in the restoration receipts and ONLY 34K original miles, and is offered to you for less than ½ that. Please read on about this beautiful car and let us know of any questions you may have. Thank you for visiting. Exterior: As you can see from the pictures this TR6 is absolutely beautiful. Receiving a full body off restoration in 2005, this TR6 is straight and solid and is refinished in its original British Racing Green paint color. All the original wheels have been redone and wrapped in new red-lined tires. All the lights and marker lights work as they should and all the glass is clear, chip and haze free. All the bright work is brilliant and shines excellent. All the rubber trim and been replaced as well. This is an excellent example of a great restoration and the appearance certainly captures the essence of a true British Sports Car. There is roughly 3000 miles on the restoration and it shows beautifully. Please look at the pictures and let us know of any specific questions you may have. Interior: As you can see from the pictures, the interior show’s beautifully. It shows a fully restored custom leather interior with contrasting green piping that was tastefully done. The wood on the dash has been refinished along with the carpets, door panels and new convertible top with boot. At the time of the restoration the a new wiring harness has been installed and all the gauges work as they should. There is also the addition of a custom AM/FM/CD player installed and custom speakers throughout. Even the convertible top’s boot was custom done in leather and green piping. The interior is beautiful and very comfortable and is show quality. Please look at the pictures and let us know of any questions you may have. Drivetrain: At the time of restoration the engine and tranny have been completely rebuilt as well. Those that know the TR6’s, know that they are very finicky and they need to be tuned correctly. Well, this engine has been rebuilt in a way that the has added performance and efficiency. At the time of rebuild, the head was port and polished with the installation of roller rockers and oversized valves. A custom header was installed with both Weber carburetors rebuilt and tuned to perfection. This car breathes better, performs better and is consistent through its rev range from idle to redline. This TR6 was built the way they should have been back in the late 60’s and 70’s. Its crisp and precise. All other components such as exhaust, belts, hoses, brakes and suspension have also been restored and this car is ready for the road. As you can tell from the pictures, no corners were cut in this restoration and it performs like no other TR6 out there. There will be NO disappointments!!
