Vehicle Detail
Up for auction we have a very nice 1960 Saab 93f. Clear Michigan title. The good: Recent engine and transmission rebuild within the last 600 miles by Tom Donney, google him and you see what a fantastic saab guru he is! It starts up instantly, runs great, and has plenty of power. The engine is an 850cc. The car has a 3 speed transmission and the freewheel works great. Brand new exhasut system Mechanically the car is great, hop in and go. All the dash lights and switches work. I recently replaced the headlights, and indicator lights as well as found clean covers for them as the originals were cracked and glued together. It comes with 4 excellent condition hubcaps. Tires are very good with plenty of miles left on them. It comes with 2 Saab mud flaps in excellent condition. There is a full size spare in the trunk and the original jack/wrench in it's pouch. This car comes with a stack of paperwork going back through the owners to the 60's as well as a record of services done to the car through the years. The car also comes with the bumper splash guards and rear license plate light assembly, they are just not installed at this time. The bumpers are fantastic, clean with no pitting. The car currently sports black painted roundels for a vintage rally feel. The car appears as in the photo's, the video below was taken a few months ago before the roundels were added. The floorpan on this car is solid, the usual spots that rust out were repaired with correct patches made and install by Mr Donney. The not so good: The seats were redone at some point in some blue/white material, they are perfectly funtional but don't look very saab-ish. Also, the paint job on the car looks fantastic in the photographs but is not as good in person, it was repainted at some point in the original color. It still looks great, just not new! There is a dent at the back of the trunk where it must have bumped into something near the right tail light. The windshield has a scratch from the wipers but i'm sure this would polish out as I can't feel it. The MI license plate stays with me and is not included. This car is a blast to drive, check out the video below: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wuOZyyhKFZc&feature=youtu.be The first car show I took it to got me a 2nd place award and lots of comments. People always seem amazed that you have to dump oil in the tank before you add the gas. Hop in and go, the car is excellent mechanically. The legal stuff: $200 non-refundable deposit due within 24 hours of auction, balance due withing 14 days. The car must be picked up within 28 days of the auction's close. This car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. I can help with loading the vehicle, not a problem.
