1988 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 2.9L V6 Automatic. Power brakes, power steering, cruise, tilt, power windows and power locks. 4x4 has manual locking hubs that work great. Truck is in good shape minus the usual ford rust spots that I have taken pictures of, truck still looks nice. Ranger has 120,000+ i still drive it. I received this ranger on trade from the grandson of the original owner who placed the incorrect mileage when titled, in which I placed the correct mileage on title. They stated it was 138,00 when it was 118,00 no biggie. The truck has a list of pros and cons which I will state, but for the record, I would drive this truck anywhere and it is drivable to your destination. Truck flat out runs good, 4x4 works in high and low, manual locking hubs are easy to turn. She doesn’t have take off speed but is full of low end torque. No cracks in glass and interior is clean. AC is all there but does not work. Horn, wipers, wiper cleaner, delay cruise all work, All gauges work except tach needle is broke in half, but still works, power locks only work on drivers side, power windows both work, besides a new gas tank, sending unit and straps( all from summit racing) it has new rear lines, brakes, drums and wheel cylinders. Newer rear shocks, and a new shock frame mount. New front brakes, rotors and bearings. Truck has a solid exhaust and has recently passed Ohio’s emissions test. However exhaust manifolds do leak (best bet to change to headers). Tires are 235/75/15 and have great tread but show signs of cracking in between the treads. As you can see the bed is in awesome shape and comes with a bed liner and bed mat. Doors shut tight and seal properly but have rust where the mirrors are at. Also sports a Lund visor. Truck has a 3” body lift I have posted pics underneath the cab/cab mounts and they are intact and not rotted. But don’t get me wrong this truck has the normal ranger rust for its age, she is by no means perfect, it had been undercoated years ago, and some areas are rusty more than others, but underneath the cab and cab corners/rockers is really nice. Passenger mirror is cracked, sliding rear window works and is in good shape. The passenger side u joint is clicking, so I am sure those should be gone through. I am sure there is something I haven’t mentioned, if so just ask, all in all truck starts evertime, runs out good and would make someone a great 4x4 for this coming winter, or just a nice all around affordable work truck with comfort! Reason i am selling, I have a full size 4x4 as well and dont need two!!!I am also selling this Ranger locally in Cuyahoga falls, Ohio.
