Vehicle Detail
I am selling a 1977 Trans Am in need of restoration. I bought the vehicle to have as a future resto but I am currently working on a 1980 and hate to see it deteriorating in my driveway. The bad things. The vehicle has a light surface rust and the driver side door has a rust hole and the side along the hood is rusted through. The rear quarters have a small area stove in that is visible in the pics. The paint is original and it is faded and the decals are the same. I do not know if the vehicle came with a 400 but the person I purchased it from told me they replaced it with an OLDS 403. It is VERY solid with no knocks or pings. The interior is complete (except the console lid) but rough. The seats are cracked as is the top portion of the dash. The carpet is faded and stained. The air conditioner is missing. The radiator overflow bottle is gone. The trunk seal is in rough shape and the body mount bushings look original and should probably be replaced. Good things. The vehicle could be a daily driver with minimal work. (I drive it work once a month or so.) It has 4 Goodyear Eagles (One has a different tread design) with excellent tread. They are mounted on snowflakes. Most importantly, I was told this was a California car and I believe it. The underside is fantastic! There is little to no rust! Trunk and floor are solid. (the trunk seal has let small amounts of water in the trunk and there is light surface rust but the trunk is good.) It has a NAPA 72 month battery (about two years old now) Glass is good but the rear glass has some black sealant smeared along the seal area on the driver side but I have never seen it leak. The gauges work save the tach. The speedometer occasionally "squeals" but works. The power windows work. It has an 8 track (with an actual Boston tape!) but it does not work. Wipers, lights, work fine. The column was recently rebuilt with new ignition switch etc. The doors are solid and amazingly do not need hinge bushings/pins! There is no warranty with this vehicle, implied or otherwise.
