1981 Honda XR

Rare opportunity to purchase one of the last of the classic off road bikes, and in very good condition -- and in a size that can be enjoyed by pretty much anyone in the family -- a restored 1981 Honda XR 100 motocross or trail bike. This would be great for an AHRMA racer for a pit bike or play bike. Also I heard that the twin-shock XR 100's were being sought after for use as flat track training bikes. This bike spent almost all of its life with one family on a country rec. farm, then the kids grew up and the bike sat in the garage. The dad decided to do a light motor rebuild and restoration himself in the hopes of more family riding days with his kids, now in college. They lost interest after one weekend of family retreat, and eventually the decision was then made to sell the bike. The bike has just had carb adjusted by a professional mechanic and runs excellent. New tire on rear. Front wheel chrome is good, has very, very minor blemishes, as shown in the photos. Rear wheel chrome has some boiling on the chrome, as shown in photo. Tank has a nice repaint, only one blemish mark as shown in photo. Tank looks great from up to several feet away from it, and then still looks very good. I believe the bike was respoked as part of the restoration. I purchased this with the thought of my wife and nephews riding it and now think better and am selling it (I bought this particular bike as I formerly had a new '81 xr 100 as my first new bike).
