Vehicle Detail
1964 Chevy. Unaltered. As original as I can tell and have been told. My father, the 2nd owner bought it in the mid-80's, he passed in 1996 and I've held it for the past 16 years. I had it registered historical in 1994 in the State of Indiana as a Father's Day present for him. It was garage kept then and barn kept for the last 6 and a half years. The Wiring harness went out and I parked it in 2002. Drove it to work every day prior to that. Far as I know, the numbers match, there have been no alterations or restorations to the truck to my knowledge. I know my dad didn't make any and I haven't. Never "wrecked" for the exception of a mailbox I clipped as shown in a photo resulting in minimal damage to right corner of hood. Pretty sure it is in it's original paint. She's sweet and has been dearly loved. I've set a reasonable reserve. I'm not giving her away, but I'm not asking the world either. I know what she's worth. I know how she ran and I never lost an impromptu road race. I have no water source at the barn or I would have cleaned her up. Best I could do was a towel dusting at best. Just know, she'll sparkle. A head turner. All emblems, etc. Not missing anything except the original gas cap as far as I know. 2 Tires are flat, all original rims. 2 snow tires are included as well as 2 rocker panels. Original bed I think, with one board needing replacement as shown in pictures. The one pick of the driver side rocker panel and front fender shows mud splatter. That is not rust or anything else, just mud on the door. The horses got in the barn and danced around a bit splattering mud everywhere. All questions, requests for additional photos and personal inspection are encouraged and welcomed. Please direct questions to Meredith47161@gmail.com or post here. Never "wrecked" for the exception of a mailbox I clipped as shown in a photo resulting in minimal damage to right corner of hood. Pretty sure it is in it's original paint. Minimal rust in usual areas. Nothing through, just light around rocker panels, cab top and around Chevrolet on tailgate in creases. Normal paint wear. She's sweet and has been dearly loved. I've set a reasonable reserve. I'm not giving her away, but I'm not asking the world either. I know what she's worth. I know how she ran and I never lost an impromptu road race. On Oct-08-12 at 18:46:22 PDT, seller added the following information: There's been 2 insulting messages about the rocker panel, no rust statement. I meant there is no rust on the door! I can see the rocker panels that's why I had taken the picture and also mentioned there are 2 rocker panels included. I KNEW they needed replaced. I am not trying to deceive anyone. I had also mentioned in the original listing the presence of surface rust on the cab top rim, and around the Chevrolet on the tailgate. Evidently, it was lost due to my internet connection which comes and goes with the wind. I noticed the omission when I got home from work this evening and added, or tried to add it to the description and it duplicated it. Ebay's changed a bit since I used it last. I just want to clarify that I am not intentionally trying to deceive anyone ! I am more than happy to answer any of your questions or find out what I can for anyone to assist you in your decision but there is absolutely no reason to be insulting. I am single, this was my father's truck and he has passed. I'm not a motorhead, I'm not mechanical automotive wise but I will be happy to find out the information for you as many in the community know this truck. Just ask! But, please, don't be insulting as this is difficult enough for me. It was my daddy's pride and joy and it breaks my heart that I have to let it go to begin with. On Oct-08-12 at 19:44:09 PDT, seller added the following information: Short Bed... It's a SHORT BED ! A friend seeing the listing just told me! God, I am so sorry. I was married to a parts guy for 11 years and I just hadn't paid attention to any of that sort of thing for so long because I just didn't have to. Since he did that sort of thing all day for a living, he never was inclined to do much of it when he got home. Hence, the reason why I knew it was the wiring harness that went out and also, why it was then parked. I tried to get this listed in a rush and before I started a new job just today. Just a tad bit scattered and perhaps took too much on but I hadn't a choice. My apologies. Just know, I will try to find out whatever you would like to know either by personal inspection or by asking someone else that would know! On Oct-09-12 at 04:04:54 PDT, seller added the following information: I've had requests for additional pictures and will be taking the following this evening after work. If you'd like them as well, please send me an email request at Meredith47161@gmail.com and I'll be happy to get them to you... I'm taking pics of the floor boards as well. "please try to email me more pics, I need you to clean the dirt off the roof and get some pics of the rain gutters for rust and rot, also please open up the doors and take pics all around the door jambs where the hinges and striker are and where the cab and roof meet up over the doors. Sorry to bother you with this, but you cant buy a new roof or cab and its not easy to fix it right." On Oct-09-12 at 17:51:33 PDT, seller added the following information: Ebay only allowed me 5 more pics so I added front, back, left, right of cab. I have 31 pics total that are zip filed and can be downloaded and opened with Window's Explorer. They include door jams, floor board, and right side rocker panel that wasn't photoed before because it's in the same shape as the left but the right side fender is clean as well as the back ones. I couldn't reach the front of the cab to get the dust off. On Oct-12-12 at 19:19:58 PDT, seller added the following information: God.... I'm going to miss this truck. whew~
