Offered from my own personal collection of fine Mercedes Benz Cars is this 124 chassis E300 with a twin cam 2.8 engine. Most Benz heads like me who understand what the previous statements means, know that this car as configured by the factory is one of the safest, quickest and virtually indestructibe cars that was ever built by Mercedes Benz. It combines the rigidity of the 124 chassis with the economy and dependability/longevity of the 2.8 dual overhead cam engine. This is a superbly engineered car built to last a life time or more. This car runs and drive exremely well with nothing negative to report. The engine runs clean with no signs of any smoke to indicate any wear in the internal components of the engine. The engine runs smooth and strong withno knocking or noise in the drivetrain, transmission shifts very well in all ranges without any noticeable delay or hesitation. There is no leaks at all, from the car, including: all fluids and exhaust. I recently took this car for an oil and filter change at a local dealership, where they also checked all the major components, needless to say everything checked out just fine. The body of this car is clean and straight with no evidence of any accidents, it still wears the original paint that though not perfect, is acceptable for the age of the car. There is really no rust or rot to mention, all body pannels are presentable. The valance below the front bumper has a small piece missing from the right corner, nothing obvious to the appearance of the car.
