Up for auction is my 1978 Ford LTD sedan. This has been a key car in my collection for a while now, and the time has come to let someone else enjoy this awesome car as I have a new addition on the way and I prefer not to “pack” the cars as tight as I would have to in order to keep this one. That’s how dings and damage end up happening and that is just not how I do things. Back to the car, it is a very, very solid original example with absolutely NO rust anywhere and 47076 original miles. The paint has fantastic shine and all the chrome is in beautiful condition. It has been driven and therefor has some of the normal nicks and rock chips etc. one would expect on a car with 47K miles, however there is nothing that detracts from the cars presence or appearance. The engine is a 351 Windsor V8 that runs fantastic with no issues, and is backed with an automatic transmission that shifts and operates 100% as it should. The tires are all season radials and have 80% or better tread. The car has no leaks and does not leave any spots on the garage floor. It is equipped with factory original A/C and also has cruise control (period correct dealer installed and functioning) with the controls on the turn signal lever. The interior is absolutely stunning and original with no cracks, rips, or tears whatsoever. Under the passenger side of the dash is a period correct aftermarket chrome swing-out Kleenex dispenser that adds a great period feel to the car. The car runs, drives, steers, rides, and stops absolutely fantastic and as you would expect. There are no rattles, bangs, creaks, or noises at all and it definitely gives you a very solid feel. I recently drove the car on a 200 mile trip with no issues. Feel free to fly in and drive home with confidence if you wish. This is an excellent car that you can drive and enjoy on weekends and take to a local cruise-ins. It is also nice enough to confidently enter in car shows as well, should you wish to. This car is for sale here on Ebay and only Ebay. It is NOT listed locally or anywhere else so it will sell here, PERIOD. This is a NO RESERVE listing and will absolutely sell to the highest bidder. A deposit of $500.00 is due within 24 hours of auction end and the balance due within 3 days of auction end. All funds are to be certified or bank wire transfer. This is for your protection as well as mine. I can store the car for up to 2 weeks at no charge in climate controlled storage. Beyond that would need to be agreed upon. Bidders with less than 5 feedback need to contact me before bidding or risk having their bids cancelled and blocked from the auction.
