Up for auction is a 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442, this is a real 442 and the last year for the VIN # beginning in 344. This car has some W-30 options added on by previous owners, such as the hood, rear wing, red plastic inner wheel wells and emblems(but it is not a W-30). The outside is painted in its original color, which is Matador Red, it is an older paint job, which has some minor flaws, but shows excellent, very straight & shiny. The interior is black and also shows excellent, it has very little wear & tear on it. Under the hood is a 1970, 455/365 horse big block, that runs good, it is very responsive and gets good oil pressure, the only thing I noticed is a slight tick maybe a sticky lifter or possibly a worn rocker bridge, it doesn't effect the performance in any way, so I haven't messed with it. The car also comes with a period correct 1971 455/335 horse big block with about 60,000 miles on it. The automatic transmission is rebuilt with a shift kit and performs perfect. The original rims also come with the car, but they are in need of restoration. Overall this car runs and drives down the road very good, it is solid and sound, there are no major problems, it is an excellent driver quality vehicle and cruise night head turner.
