Vehicle Detail

Here is an opportunity to own a beautiful example of an Iconic American Muscle Car ! This car has been owned only within my family and has been babied and garaged. It has very low miles on it. Funny story behind this car is that my father in-law bought this car for his girlfriend brand new when he sold his business. They where in their 50's and figured it would be fun and remind them of thier youth. I was so jealous at the time because I was in my early 20's and could not afford such a sweet ride although they let me wash wax and detail her and when I was done they let me use her the rest of the day! I loved this car and cared for her as if she was mine! A year or so later in 1999 or so my father in-law broke up with the woman and she moved out but had no income to speak of and needed some cash to put a down payment on a condo in Clearwater Florida so she could follow her whacked out beliefs in Scientology, which was why they split up to begin with. LOL! So my in-law bought the very car he bought once for her...off her! Yes thats right...he bought the car twice!! LOL!! He used it over the years very sparingly due to the impracticality of this vehicle in the Northeast. It was always garaged and maintained. I think partly due to his age he always felt funny driving this car, it was more of a conversation piece! Well fast forward to 2007 and I found myself needing a car (long story) and my father in-law asked me if I was interested in buying the Trans-Am because he knew I appreciated the car and once loved her and therefore take good care of her. Actually I really didn't but felt torn because of what the car once meant to me and I needed a car at the time so I said what the hell why not? He let me take her that day. I gave him some cash and financed the rest of it. Well this was in May of 2007 so it was fine weather wise but as winter approached I needed to figure something out as this was not going to be drivable come winter. I ended up buying a new Jeep in September of 2007 and barely drove this car again except when I felt bad for her and to keep her going. I guess at this point in my life this car wasn't very practical for me either and I really love my Jeep and given the opportunity to drive at all I prefer the Jeep ( I only drive about 7000 miles a year). I have done my best to maintain this car and since owning it only put about 5000 miles on her. It is all original except for the intake and exhaust and I put a strut tower brace on her as well. The exhaust was custom welded for me by a local exhaust shop. The intake and strut tower brace are from SLP Performance! I also put new tires on her because the originals where kinda slick and had trouble taming the power of this little beast! In addition to low miles, it is very clean and in great shape inside too! The color is awesome in my opinion and the paint is in pretty good condition (some swirling and small scratches) for it's age. I had the windows tinted by a local shop with quality 3M film. It looks MENACING really!!! I also have the original window sticker and the drivers manual etc. If your looking into a car like this one, you'd be hard pressed to find a better, lower mile one! Somone please take her off my hands and show this car the love she deserves!
