The BMW model 2002 was a very elegant production for BMW in 1972. This BMW was purchased by the second owner in East Northport, Long Island, New York, and remained there until I purchased it from this Long Island car collector. It appears the collector purchased the car from its owner and placed the car in a dry storage facility for nearly 23 years. After purchasing the car, we started the restoration process. As we went through the car mechanically, reconditioned the brakes and exhaust system, replaced the battery and changed all fluid, etc. New tires, original hubcaps and was repainted. This is a very nice car. Our goal was always to keep it original and I believed we did an excellent job doing that. The only negatives we see is a minor crack on the driver's seat and maybe a new grill at your leisure. There was a lot of time and money spent on this car and it is a pleasure to drive it. The mileage is correct and original 72,228. This car will make an excellent investment with just a little minor attention and commitment towards it's purity and simplicity.
