Vehicle Detail

Bought in Miami, shipped to Los Angeles in 2002 and currently residing in Raleigh, NC. I've loved this car in each of these cities. Always garaged and a joy to drive. Solid, strong, low mileage. I purchased this car in 2002 as the warranty was expiring. The owner i bought it from argued to have the engine replaced as he said there was a "hairline" blemish on the engine block. He argued as a 100K+ stickered car, this is something he should not have to worry about. After getting special permission from Germany, Porsche Ft. Lauderdal did replace the engine with a brand new 2001 engine. (When Porsche replaces an engine, they also replace EVERYTHING involved, hoses, wires, you name it) So the odometer says 60K+, while the actual engine mileage is around 15K+. (I spoke extensively to the dealership that performed the work before i bought it in 2002) I do think this may have deterred some buyers way back in 2002 when i purchased the vehicle, but i can honestly say this car has lived up to its lineage in every sense of the word. This car will come with two other trunk assemblies (GT3 and another standard Lid) besides the standard Carrera lid that is currently on it. (raises at speeds of 70mph and then lowers automatically upon decrease in speed) Air blows cold and was just recharged. All records and service done at Porsche dealership except the occasional fuse replacement, etc. The car has exterior has always looked like glass but it does have several small dings that can only be seen when light hits at an angle.--for the life of me i can't figure out where these occurred, although i have a sneaking suspicion it was my kids. That being said, when i was in Los Angeles i was washing my car at a "do it yourself" and the hoses became tangled and the metal tipped water gun hit my car and gave it a big-old ding. I was somewhat devasted. I took the car to a paintless dent removal expert and for $200 it was fixed to the point that no one, and i mean no one would ever know the dent was ever there. I was amazed, because i wasn't that familiar with paintless dent removal, but it is truly an amazing service. that being said, i could get the dings done myself before delivery, or i can offer a credit of $300 to the winning buyer. I believe in being honest and fair--i'm not sure the buyer will even notice these dings, but i still have people come up to me all of the time and comment what a nice car it is. PS: This car has been awesome and i've had it for 10+ years. I'm looking to send it to a great home only!!:)--my whole family will be sad to see this go!! thanks for looking!!
