Being titled as one of the first produced, it has the "Neon" name on the title. This little fact greatly reduces insurance. My Progressive Insurance Policy calls it a "2003 Dodge Neon". WOW!!! Helluva Neon!!! All the titles after July 2003 include the moniker "SRT4", or so I've read. Cosmetically, it has some issues. Someone damaged the front passenger door in the parking lot of Lowes and left no note. Just slight damage and the door still opens fine. The clear coat is coming through on the passenger side rear fender and the hood. The stripes need to be redone or removed entirely. Both of the clear coat issues are due to accidents. It is started weekly. The oil has been changed regularly, and has only had Mobil-1 since new. I do not have any of the old parts removed from the car. The battery in the car now is totally DEAD. I will purchase and install a brand new battery upon auction completion, and will include the warranty. The Odyssey battery installed works perfectly in warmer climates but has issues in colder temperatures. I will include the "Instant Power" (as seen in the pictures) if the auction goes above $7000.00. If you are lucky enough to win this car for less, I STRONGLY recommend you get a Jump Start Battery to keep in the trunk, because you will need to use it occasionally. The only other problem is that the water pump was replaced on the car. After re-assembly, the air-conditioner squeals. It needs to be examined to determine what is the problem. It must be an alignment issue. The compressor is NOT bad. As stated in the title, this is "Highly Modified" and a "Project Car". All the ideas for upgrades and modifications, which came from srtforums, were well thought through. Great detail was taken to put attention into the fuel, air, spark and exhaust. This was to ensure a very well balanced design that would last years without failure. Whomever gets this car, it is highly suggested to use http://www.srtforums.com for all your needs/questions. This car was never abused or raced. It was purchased to have a car to play with, under the hood, as well as drive. If this is what you want, then this car is for you. This car is VERY VERY fast, and for a Mature Adult. It is not for the faint of heart. It is only recommended for someone who likes to tinker with their car. I can only hope you enjoy it more than I did, and remain safe and responsible. For the price, you will NOT find ANYTHING ELSE that will give you the same heart-pounding driving experience.
