Vehicle Detail
1968 Pontiac Lemans Convertible, excellent shape, confirmed numbers matching, AC car with original AC that still blows cold, NO patch panels, all original metal and all are solid with no rust, body is straight as a arrow with all lines very nice!! Interior is in great shape with some work recently done and some major cleaning and a couple new pieces and has no rips, back seat and arm rests still need a little detailing, carpet is as new, dash is as new, all instruments including clock is working well(clock sticks sometimes, just have to flick it), cigarette lighter even works well. All wiring is perfect and very clean, doors close as new. Could use a couple weather strips on door but the rest are in good shape. The Car has a STOCK 350 with the original 2 barrel carb which still has the tags on it. Engine and trans were freshened up not to long ago but they don't appear to be altered. The trans is a 3 speed and shifts great!! The drive train on this car is in excellent shape and it drives in perfect order and I would drive this car anywhere!!!! The brakes are all new including booster, new shocks, bushings, steering components, belts, hoses, tires, ect. This car is like a new car and drives as such but is not perfect. The body is perfect, the paint is a 8 of 10, could use a buffing but looks great as is!! Interior is 8 of 10, detailing is all it needs, drivetrain and reliability is 9 of 10, nobodies perfect!!, could use to be detailed if your going to show it but looks great and original as it is!! The only thing I see on car now is a couple niks in paint on front below bumper and one grill needs to be adjusted up 1/2 inch, both of which are not really noticible, some of chrome has a few pits in it but again not noticible to avg. guy. The top is in good shape with one small hole where it was pinched by the mechanism, has glass window and does not leak any water whatsoever. The top also goes up and down smoothly and is pretty easy to latch, has no issues at all. Car has Alpine CD player in glove box that sounds good. This car is a wonderfull rust free classic that is still in the same condition it was 40 years ago and will give someone many years of enjoyment and reliability without having to do much to it. We paid alot for it and put alot into it but life goes on, we are the third owner and it has always been garage kept and it is very apparent of that. I hate to see it go but we don't have the time or room anymore for it unless it does't sell. Thanks for looking and I will answer any and all questions. I do have it listed locally and reserve the right to end at any time but will not end until cash is in hand and title is handed over. Payment must be made in 7 days and deposit paid withing 24 hours of auction close. Zero feedback bidders will be bumped. Car can be stored for 30 days after payment is made in full. Thanks, Ken
