This impressive Moped has been completely disassembled, each component cleaned, inspected, and where necessary, replaced. This work was done by a technician who sold and repaired Mopeds in the late 1970's and early 1980's, and was at that time factory trained in their maintenance and repair. This restoration was done right. The bike looks superb and rides like new. New parts include both rims, tubes and tires, the speedometer drive unit, speedometer and speedometer cable, cables and housing for controls, carburetor with air box, both chains, clutch with Variateur, pedals, headlight and ignition/horn switches, mirror, fork lock, magnito cover and fuel petcock. I'm sure there are others I'm missing. The frame, fork, swing arm, etc. were sanded, in most instances down to bare metal, and then primed and expertly repainted with Dupont Chromapremier SS, a very high quality automotive paint. The engine was inspected for wear in the cylinder, bearings and seals, but being a low mileage, well cared for engine, needed no major work. The points were replaced and the condenser moved to a remote location on the frame to allow use of the much cheaper, more reliable and easy to replace automotive condenser. The wheel and headset bearings were cleaned and repacked, then properly adjusted. The Moped has a clear title and a new California plate. There is nothing left to do with this bike but to ride and enjoy it!
