Vehicle Detail
1963 Buick Riviera By Owner If you have been looking for a NICE 1963 Buick Riviera, your search is over... This 1963 Buick Riviera is an outstanding example of what a 63' Riv was, impeccably preserved and maintained for the past 50 years. The car was originally purchased by the late June McGaffy in Hombly Hills, (Beverly Hills) California for travel for her and her friends to and from church and Sunday brunches. She kept the car in the garage at all times, accumulating 17,000 miles on the car until her passing in 1972. The car was then handed down to her son George McGaffy who kept the car maintained and in service until his passing in 2000. At this time mileage was around 80,000. The car was purchased at Mr. McGaffys' Estate Sale in 2001, and sent in for a freshening of the exterior paint, as well as a new vinyl top. The car has underwent some additional servicing since then, including a full drivetrain overhaul, brakes, and full Gardner reproduction exhaust, as well as brand new Goodyear White Wall tires, in the 60,000 mile variety. The car features excellent options and a fantastic color combination. The car has a power drivers seat, power windows, tilt wheel, power brakes, RARE AM/FM stereo, full size spare, ect. Everything works on this car, with the exception of the clock, which works more often than not. All lights, signals, power accessories work as they were originally designed. The interior and exterior are both in fantastic condition. All brightwork is original to the car and shows very well. The exterior paint was done circa 2002, but does not look like it. There is one touched up chip about the size of a a pinky nair on the drivers door, The car is arrow straight, . The car retains all original sheet metal. The car runs, drives, stops, and turns like a brand new 63. The car is tight and rock solid and everything and I mean EVERYTHING works. I would not hesitate to drive this car back to LA from here in Chicago tomorrow. The car needs absolutely nothing to drive and enjoy. This may be one of the most original, unmolested, unrestored, 1963 Rivieras around. Starts with a flick of a key, drive it anywhere. The car is for sale locally and on other venues. Please contact me with any questions or to discuss a purchase at 312 622 7533 Clean and clear title in hand. Remember this is a 50 year old car, and is not perfect...however it is genuinely a nice car.
