This is a NO RESERVE auction with a low start price. I'm going to sell this Granada to the highest bidder, so if you like it, bid to win! I have included 90+ pictures with this listing to provide the full story on the car. If anything is unclear in the pictures or in the description, or if I left out something you'd like to know, please feel free to ask...I will happily answer any questions. The exterior of this car is RUST-FREE and looks unbelievable for a '79 Granada! The emerald green paint was just polished and shines nicely. The car looks terrific for its age. While its Granada brethren were summarily headed for the crusher, it's clear this Granada was receiving excellent care and maintenance from a loving owner. I have tried to capture every aspect of the car's appearance in the photos, so be sure to check them out for the complete story. One note: this car bears Ghia badges inside and out. However, a VIN decoder I found online indicates it is not the Ghia edition. I don't have the knowledge to make the determination independently, so I'm issuing the caveat for what it's worth. At a minimum, it's a Ghia edition look-alike. In any event, this car looks great...and it turns heads! People just can't believe they're seeing a '79 Granada in this condition driving down the road. The interior of the car is in unbelievable condition as well. It is also unbelievably green. The seat upholstery has been incredibly well preserved. The back seat and part of the front passenger seat have a protective plastic covering like your grandma used to have on the couch when you were a kid. It must have been on the driver's seat for quite some time too; the driver's seat shows only a minimal amount of wear and tear. The carpets and door panels are all likewise in very, very good condition. The headliner and a few dashboard cracks are the only weak points to note in the otherwise spectacular interior. The A/C works, though it's not real cold and it's controlled by a toggle switch installed by the prior owner. The pictures pretty much tell the story here as well, so be sure to check them all out. This car even comes with the original 1979 owner's manual, and the secondary floor mats pictured in the trunk. According to the VIN decoder I found online, this car has Ford's 302 cubic inch (5.0 litre) V8 engine option. It's a little rumbley, but it runs good and puts down enough power to spin the tires if you bury your right foot. The battery is new. The 5 digit odometer works, though I suspect it's on its second time around. This car handles like an American car from the '70s...the suspension seems to be in good shape and doing what it was designed to do. The column shift automatic transmission shifts fine. I accept wire transfers, cashier's checks, and cash in person (under $10,000 only). I accept PayPal for the payment of deposits only. All funds must be in US dollars. 3.5. Fees and Taxes. 3.5.1. Dealer Fee. I charge a $250 dealer fee, which will be added to all transactions. This includes winning bids, buy it now prices, and best offers accepted. I don't make exceptions for other licensed dealers. 3.5.2. Sales Tax. 3.5.2.1. Florida Buyers. I am required to collect sales tax at the rate applicable in your county at the time of sale. 3.5.2.2. Out-of-State Buyers. If you have the vehicle shipped to your location, I do not collect any sales tax; you will be responsible for paying your state's sales tax directly. I always recommend you check with your local tag agency first; although the vast majority of states have a reciprocal sales tax agreement with Florida, a few do not. Some states also have specific forms or procedures that must be used for out-of-state purchases. 3.5.3. Tag & Title. 3.5.3.1. Florida Buyers. I am required to handle your tag and title work, and I collect an estimate of those costs at the time of sale, which range from $100 to $450 depending on your specific situation. If the actual cost of title and registration is less than the estimate, I will refund you the difference; if the actual cost is more that the estimate, you will be required to pay the difference before getting your tag and title. I do not make any money on tax, tag, registration and title fees I collect. 3.5.3.2. Out-of-State Buyers. I will provide you with the vehicle's title, and you will be responsible for handling the tag and title work in your state. 3.6. Exchange Documents and Signatures. There are, unfortunately, paperwork requirements for completing the transaction, which vary depending on whether you are from out-of-state or not. These will be discussed when you contact me initially. 3.7. If You Fail to Pay or Communicate with Me. I expect the transaction to go smoothly. Here’s a rare find up for sale: a 1979 Ford Granada that looks like it came out of a time capsule. This is a NO RESERVE auction with a low start price. I'm going to sell this Granada to the highest bidder, so if you like it, bid to win! I have included 90+ pictures with this listing to provide the full story on the car. If anything is unclear in the pictures or in the description, or if I left out something you'd like to know, please feel free to ask...I will happily answer any questions. The exterior of this car is RUST-FREE and looks unbelievable for a '79 Granada! The emerald green paint was just polished and shines nicely. The car looks terrific for its age. While its Granada brethren were summarily headed for the crusher, it's clear this Granada was receiving excellent care and maintenance from a loving owner. I have tried to capture every aspect of the car's appearance in the photos, so be sure to check them out for the complete story. One note: this car bears Ghia badges inside and out. However, a VIN decoder I found online indicates it is not the Ghia edition. I don't have the knowledge to make the determination independently, so I'm issuing the caveat for what it's worth. At a minimum, it's a Ghia edition look-alike. In any event, this car looks great...and it turns heads! People just can't believe they're seeing a '79 Granada in this condition driving down the road.
The interior of the car is in unbelievable condition as well. It is also unbelievably green. The seat upholstery has been incredibly well preserved. The back seat and part of the front passenger seat have a protective plastic covering like your grandma used to have on the couch when you were a kid. It must have been on the driver's seat for quite some time too; the driver's seat shows only a minimal amount of wear and tear. The carpets and door panels are all likewise in very, very good condition. The headliner and a few dashboard cracks are the only weak points to note in the otherwise spectacular interior. The A/C works, though it's not real cold and it's controlled by a toggle switch installed by the prior owner. The pictures pretty much tell the story here as well, so be sure to check them all out. This car even comes with the original 1979 owner's manual, and the secondary floor mats pictured in the trunk.
According to the VIN decoder I found online, this car has Ford's 302 cubic inch (5.0 litre) V8 engine option. It's a little rumbley, but it runs good and puts down enough power to spin the tires if you bury your right foot. The battery is new. The 5 digit odometer works, though I suspect it's on its second time around. This car handles like an American car from the '70s...the suspension seems to be in good shape and doing what it was designed to do. The column shift automatic transmission shifts fine.

1. Before You Bid
1.1. Read the Vehicle Description and Ask Questions. I spend a lot of time creating my listings, and I make every effort to thoroughly, accurately and fairly describe the vehicles I offer. If you have a specific question or concern, or if I missed something, please feel free to ask. Please keep in mind that I sell pre-owned vehicles. As with any pre-owned vehicle, minor cosmetic flaws may be visible under close inspection.
1.2. Inspect the Vehicle. I encourage you to inspect the vehicle personally or through an inspection service prior to bidding. If you would like to inspect the vehicle, please call to make arrangements. Most of my vehicles are kept inside.
1.3. Be Aware That Vehicles Are Offered As Is/No Warranty Unless Stated. Unless otherwise stated in the vehicle description, the vehicle is being sold “as-is”, with no warranty. I try to accurately and fairly describe any known mechanical or cosmetic issues. However, as with any vehicle, mechanical or other failures may occur from time to time, and I cannot represent or warranty that they will not. You are responsible for any repairs made after the sale.
1.4. Mileage May Vary Slightly. I indicate the mileage of each vehicle at the time of listing. Please note that actual mileage may be slightly higher at the time of the end of the auction and/or delivery as the vehicle may be driven while the auction is underway.
2. Bidding on the Vehicle
2.1. Ready to Bid? If you’re ready to bid, great! Please keep in mind a few requirements and courtesies. Please intend to, and be ready & able to (financially and otherwise), complete the purchase of the vehicle within the timeframes set out herein. Participating just for sport without the intention to complete the transaction is unfair to me and to other users, and it wastes a lot of time and money. I may obtain the registered information of users participating in my auctions, and may filter or cancel any bids in my discretion.
2.2. I May End An Auction Early. "Buy it now" auctions may end at any time if the buy it now feature is exercised or a "best offer" is accepted. I seldom end "no reserve" auctions early. However, I reserve the right to end any auction without notice at any time for any reason in my sole discretion.
3. Completing the Transaction
3.1. Contact Me. If you are the winning bidder, congratulations! You must contact me within 24 hours of the end of the auction to make arrangements for the completion of the transaction. Many of my auctions end well after normal business hours, so sending me a message through eBay is generally the best way.
3.2. Pay a Deposit. You must also pay a non-refundable $500.00 deposit via PayPal within 24 hours after the end of the auction to secure the vehicle.
3.3. Pay the Balance Due. You must pay the remaining balance due (plus applicable fees and taxes – please see 3.5, below) within 3 days after the end of the auction.
3.4. Payment Methods. I accept wire transfers, cashier's checks, and cash in person (under $10,000 only). I accept PayPal for the payment of deposits only. All funds must be in US dollars.
3.5. Fees and Taxes.
3.5.1. Dealer Fee. I charge a $250 dealer fee, which will be added to all transactions. This includes winning bids, buy it now prices, and best offers accepted. I don't make exceptions for other licensed dealers.
3.5.2. Sales Tax.
3.5.2.1. Florida Buyers. I am required to collect sales tax at the rate applicable in your county at the time of sale.
3.5.2.2. Out-of-State Buyers. If you have the vehicle shipped to your location, I do not collect any sales tax; you will be responsible for paying your state's sales tax directly. If you come to Florida to pick up the vehicle at my location, I am required to collect either your state's sales tax, or Florida's 6%, whichever is less. Generally, you will receive a credit in your state for sales tax collected here. If I collect our 6% because your state's rate is higher, you will be charged the balance in your state. I always recommend you check with your local tag agency first; although the vast majority of states have a reciprocal sales tax agreement with Florida, a few do not. Some states also have specific forms or procedures that must be used for out-of-state purchases.
3.5.3. Tag & Title.
3.5.3.1. Florida Buyers. I am required to handle your tag and title work, and I collect an estimate of those costs at the time of sale, which range from $100 to $450 depending on your specific situation. If the actual cost of title and registration is less than the estimate, I will refund you the difference; if the actual cost is more that the estimate, you will be required to pay the difference before getting your tag and title. I do not make any money on tax, tag, registration and title fees I collect.
3.5.3.2. Out-of-State Buyers. I will provide you with the vehicle's title, and you will be responsible for handling the tag and title work in your state.
3.6. Exchange Documents and Signatures. There are, unfortunately, paperwork requirements for completing the transaction, which vary depending on whether you are from out-of-state or not. These will be discussed when you contact me initially.
3.7. If You Fail to Pay or Communicate with Me. I expect the transaction to go smoothly. However, if you fail to (i) make contact with me, (ii) pay the deposit, (iii) provide me with required signatures/documents, or (iv) pay the remaining balance (including applicable fees, taxes, and charges), within the timeframes set forth herein, I reserve the right to keep your deposit and re-list the vehicle or otherwise sell it as I see fit, without notice, in my sole discretion. I also reserve the right to report the issue to eBay in my sole discretion.
4. Take Delivery of Your New Vehicle
4.1. Shipping. It is frequently less expensive to have a vehicle shipped to your location than it is to fly in and drive it back, and certainly more hassle-free. I can assist you in finding a shipper and can get very competitive shipping quotes. You pay the shipper directly and are responsible for delivery arrangements. I assume no responsibility for damage to the vehicle incurred after it leaves my premises. Your vehicle will be available to ship out once full payment is received and has cleared; I send out titles once payment has cleared and all other paperwork requirements of the transaction are completed.
4.2. Pick Up. I am located at 2645 NE 9th Ave in Cape Coral, Florida. I am easily accessible from US 41 and from Interstate 75. If you plan to fly in, I will pick up at RSW - Southwest Florida Int’l Airport in Fort Myers (commercial) or FMY - Page Field in Fort Myers (private) or PGD - Charlotte County Airport (commercial & private) in Punta Gorda.
