Vehicle Detail
This car is in wonderful shape, and I fear my previous listing didn't go higher because I mainly listed faults. Mind you, I listed EVERY fault, and they are rather trivial! This car starts and runs strong every time, and there are no funny noises or smells; it accelerates smooth and shifts perfect. No popping, squealing or squeaking. No sign of oil every having leaked anywhere on the engine (no stains), including the turbo. I purchased two years ago from a man who purchased it in 1992. It has been garage kept in FL the entire time he owned it (though it was registered in PA). I am selling because business requires I have a truck. The headliner was professionally replaced on 7/10. It was the original, and suddenly drooped from the FL summer heat. The rear seats are in near PERFECT condition; only the driver’s seat has minor signs of wear on the bottom left side. Power windows, locks, and sunroof - all function strong. Sometimes the wind deflector needs a little push with the finger to allow the sunroof to slide shut completely. It doesn't leak, and never has. The motor and track mechanism was replaced before I purchased, so it should remain working indefinitely! Radio - Just began to display ERR, does not play. I haven't messed with it in order to preserve the "stock value" of the car. A new head unit would bring the music back. CD Player - Displays ERR as well. This went out before the radio. There is a 6 CD changer in trunk which functioned fine until the day the head unit component of the CD player began displaying ERR, about 6 months ago. Again, I wanted to keep the integrity of the original car/parts, so I haven't messed with it. CD changer still accepts CD's and will work with new head unit. There is some staining in the trunk, as seen from the picture. I haven't tried to shampoo/steam clean the spots. It doesn't smell like must or mildew. I'm unsure of how they came to be. They were there when I purchased the vehicle. I have two spray cans of Volvo dealer supplied bumper touch up paint, for the fading seen in the picture. There is literally zero rust! The minor crack in windshield has not grown since it's incident. I don't know what happened. It occurred four years ago and its repair is under a lifetime warranty. It took a week of me owning the vehicle to notice it. I have included pictures of every cosmetic fault. The pictures make the carpets and floor mats look bluish; they are jet black. Also, the back seats are not scratched up, but, unfortunately for me the camera enhanced the look/depth of some creases? The picture of the "better" tire shows the condition of the two front tires. The tire with more wear shows condition of the rear tires. I'd estimate 80-90% on front, 40-50% on rear. Headlights and tail lights all work strong. No fog!5% tint on rear windows, 15% on front - legal in FL. Brakes serviced this week, oil changed. Brand new battery w/ 3 year warranty installed on 7/31. AC cold, heat hot. It has tight, responsive steering, tight turn radius, drives straight, and is fast!!Have many receipts and records, ALL original manuals, floor mats, extra (unused) CD changer cartridge, a Volvo supplied black touch-up paint pen, Volvo supplied bumper paint, and one original key. The exterior seals are immaculate! No peeling, cracking, or even fading. This is a collectors dream, and I am saddened to let it go. My girlfriend thinks I'm nuts, but I need help buying a truck. Please email with any questions. This car is listed locally and on Ebay. I welcome anyone to call me once we've been in contact, and/or come see and drive in person! Please email me with any questions and I'll respond within 24 hours. Emails are sent directly to my phone so a response should be instantaneous. Thanks and best of luck! :) On Sep-26-12 at 16:35:32 PDT, seller added the following information: IT HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION: An interested buyer had the car inspected and there was an odd, low-volume clicking/cycling sound coming from the engine. Apparently, it now has a faulty A/C compressor. This would explain why it's needed recharging three times since I've owned it. Please be aware of this before purchasing! It could be fine for a while with a recharge, but for a permanent fix the compressor will need replacing.
