Vehicle Detail
Here I have for sale a 2003 Honda CR-V LX. This was my sister's car and my Folks now longer need it since she has moved. The car as 140K on it and I'm driving it daily at the moment. The tires are like new, with just several thousand miles on them, and they are a 600 Treadwear rating. The tune-up is good, we just had some work done to the car, mainly an oil change and replacement of the Cabin air filters. I'll surmise the car's Pros and Cons as best as I can. The Good:It runs great, gets excellent gas mileage, and the interior has been meticulously well-kept. The body is totally free of rust and has only a few dents (there is some body damage...shown in pictures and explained later). No inherent problems mechanically. It has a great stock sound system, for those that note that sort of thing...(I do). The spare tire is like new, never mounted and still holds air. It had been kept inside the car for a long time, just to keep it from getting weathered. Brakes are good, axles, everything underneath is, again, mechanically sound. We installed a Hidden Hitch a few years ago for a bike rack (just the hitch is included). The Bad: The car was in a minor fender-bender years ago in the Left rear quarter. We had bodywork done to it following the accident but it's beginning to show its age. It's been probably 8 years or so since the accident. The most visible blemish is a small crack where the bondo is giving out, and some clear-coat fade. Apart from that the rest of the body is flawless. Please note pictures; I took as many detailed photos as I could of the blemish. Also, the electronics have become a bit...screwy. All the locks work but the power locks will only open/close the front doors for some reason. The driver's window doesn't roll down and I suspect a bad regulator. The driver's door lock has been replaced and functions fine, but has its own key to open it. All in all I really don't want to see this car go...great gas mileage, incredible cargo space...but I have 4 cars and my parents don't need another one on their hands. Thanks,James
