Vehicle Detail

This is a matching number 1961 283/315 hp fuel injected Corvette. It had one family owner from 1978 until this year when I was able to purchase it. We pulled it out of storage and got it running after twelve years. It is missing the fuel injection unit and is currently running with a four barrel carburetor. This car needs a restoration, but runs and drives pretty well. All the lights, wipers and blinkers work. The gauges are not so realiable. The brakes are all good. The body and frame of the car are excellent with some surface rust on the frame and some minor fiberglass cracks. It looks to be an original white with red interior car. All the correct gauges are there. The original radio is missing. It appears to have a set of NOS non-dot 6.75/15 tires on board. The casting number of the engine is 3756519 and the casting date is E 5 1. The engine pad is stamped with the last part of the VIN# of the car 108652 and F0509CS. The soft top of the car is pretty torn up, but the soft top frame is fine. Just about everything was there with the car with the exception of a few chrome pieces missing. The VIN tag for the car appears to have fallen off the steering column at one time and it is now attached to the driver's door, but it is original. You can see the marks on the column where the spot weld came loose. All the bells and whistles for a fuel car are there to include the the tach cable going through the firewall under the wiper motor with the correct grommet, the two mounting holes under the fender on the driver's side for the air plenum, the 6500 redline tach and an original set of fuel injection emblems. This is the real deal and a very rare car that deserves a restoration. This is a car that can be restored by almost anyone or it can be driven as is with very little work. I have priced it very reasonable to see it go to a good home, so please be serious if you bid.
