Vehicle Detail
This auction is for a 1967 V8, bench seat Mustang Coupe with factory a/c. This car is a rare find, it is rock solid and super clean! It is automatically a rare find because it has a factory bench seat and a/c in it. I've worked on hundreds of Mustangs over the years at A-Z Mustangs and in all my time doing this I've only come across 3 other factory bench seats. We've been over every inch of this car and it is absolutely rock solid both mechanically and structurally. Cosmetically the paint is a few years old but it still has a decent shine to it. The body is straight as are the quarter panels and there is no rust. The car has no water leaks from rear or front windows and the cale is solid and doesn't leak. When we first purchased the car it did have minor rust on the front passenger floor pan, it has since been replaced. This Mustang has sport 17" Cooper Zeon 2X5 tires mounted on Eleanor double 5 spinner rims and has KYB shocks all the way around. This car rides down the road staight and corners very well. This car actually feels more solid on the road than my late model Volvo does. While replacing the valve cover gaskets (for good measure), I noticed that the engine is very clean inside, the valve springs are still a bright orange with no carbon build up what so ever. After performing a compression test on each cylinder and due to the sheer cleanliness of the enginge I'm inclined to believe that the engine was very well maintained or possibly rebuilt but I have no documentation to prove that. The engine has great power for a 289 V8. This car has a working 8 track player and we'll even throw in a working Led Zepplin 8 track so that you can listen to some classic rock and roll in your new hot rod. Although the engine is basically stock spec, except for the 2 1/4" Flowmaster exhaust, there are more after market performance products built for the 289, 302 Windsor engines than any other. Basically this car has endless potential and we would be happy to help you with any performance or physical modifications that you may want after purchasing. This car is a 1967 Ford Mustang and therefore it is not brand new so you will find some basic wear. There are small scratches and dings and the head liner has had some minor shrinkage so the stitches have started to seperate slightly, this is typical of older cars, but the headliner does not hang down at all. Overall I would say that this is a great find for any hot rod or Mustang enthusiast. In a perfect world I would love to hang on to this beauty but this is not a perfect world so I just hope that it goes to someone who is able to appreciate it. The car is located in Tullytown, Pa. so if you're close enough please come on down and check it out so you can see for yourself just how nice it really is.
