Vehicle Detail
1966 Ford Mustang 289 V8 Convertible Original Color: Ivy Green Options: 289 2V C code V8 with C4 Automatic transmission power convertible top black standard interior, console, remote mirror Added in 2003: 15x7 inch Styled Steel Wheels [car handled great at the time] I have decided to sell my mustang because I will not have the time needed to due a complete restoration. I hope the car will be purchased by someone who will restore it. I drove the mustang regularly in Florida for many years. The convertible top hydraulic system was rebuilt with a new pump in 2003.Also the transmission was also rebuilt in 2003. In 2005 I drove the car from Florida to Illinois without any problems.I then put it in a storage unit in 2007 and began taking it apart for restoration. The last time the engine ran was 2007, it will need a rebuild and a new carburator, etc. The condition of the car to restore is good because the convertible top frame and system are in great shape. The trunk area as shown in the pictures is very solid with minor rust. The quarter panels do have a couple of small rusted spots, shown in the pictures that can be patched. The area that needs attention is the floor, there are holes in the front and rear floor pans. A complete new floor section shold be done, I would also replace the side frame rails at the same time even though they are not bad. The cowl are and front of the car have little rust. There are two spots on the left and right hand sides of the cowl area behind the fenders that are rusted. Overall a pretty solid car to start a project. All items included with the car are shown in pictures. Anything not shown in pictures is not included. Example front fenders, etc. Also included but not shown is the original hood. The car ha a clear Florida Title. After 5 days of the end of the auction winning bidder is required to send a $500 deposit via Certified Bank Check and make arrangements to pick up the vehicle. The vehicle must be picked up within two weeks after recieving the deposit. Please serious bidders only, Thanks and good luck!!!!
