For your consideration is a rather unique vehicle - a 1989 Dodge Caravan Es with factory turbocharged 2.5L 4-cyl & 5-speed manual transmission. This one is rather loaded. Besides the ES package featuring the alloy wheels, unique body cladding and bumper covers, etc, this has a full leather interior (7-passenger), air conditioning, power windows/locks, sunscreen glass, heavy-duty suspension, etc etc. Sharp Claret Red exterior. The mileage is high (178k) and the body is rough (significant rust & dents, etc). I bought it primarily as a spare parts car for an SE Caravan turbo I had and later sold. This Caravan sat stored inside for the last 3 or 4 years & I pulled it out recently in hopes of getting it advertised and sold. It fired right up & I was able to drive it 5-10 miles to its present location without major issue. The check engine light popped on momentarily but went off on its own. The turbo spools up and the engine runs & sounds good. The transmission shifts great (factory heavy-duty Getrag 555 model) and the clutch worked well too. The brakes are rusty from sitting. The tires (matched set of Michelins) have great tread. Among the negatives - the a/c does not work, the headliner sags, the pass rear taillight is broke as is the grille, the hood ornament is missing, rear pass quarter significantly dented etc. I have not tried the e-brake but suspect it is frozen. Underneath is rusty including the rockers. The good news it is bone stock & well maintained earlier in life. I have the original window sticker (almost $19k in '89!) plus a folder full of maintenance receipts, notes, records etc. - great stuff! You can tell this was the original owners pride & joy! Factory underhood wiring in good shape, has stock stainless steel exhaust. Again, I personally consider this a great parts car but it certainly could be saved. There are many unique parts on this factory 5-speed turbo van - pedals, shifter, console, column, etc etc. Has overhead console, power rear 1/4 windows, factory gauge package with tachometer, etc. I encourage any potential buyers to ask questions or better yet come & take a look.
