Overview: This Vanagon is fully outfitted and ready to go South (or wherever) this Winter. Well maintained and recently serviced, the camper can be confidently taken on a trip of your choice at short notice. It offers a 'tight' and safe ride. Numerous extras make this a very comfortable vehicle in which to spend time in company with your toys. I am selling the vehicle on behalf of the registered owner and payment will be made to me. The registered owner will provide the required signed documentation. Condition: Mechanically strong. Work in past 2 months includes - new rear wheel bearings, new power steering lines, new front brake pads, new brake front brake lines (rear brake lines by previous owner 2011), replaced steering linkage, front/right sway bar link arm replaced, oil change, side-door bearings replaced. The wheels are slightly bigger than standard to improve ride and handling. Mileage (97.7k miles) claimed must be considered inaccurate but the engine remains strong and has always started first time, does not overheat, burn oil or drop fluids and runs sweetly until asked to stop. Speedometer cable broke 2 weeks ago (you'll have to take my word for it) and would have been replaced but for an apparent lack of replacements in North America. A simple job that needs to be done when the part is available. Interior condition is excellent and the fridge is 'fuelled' by a choice of land power, 12V, or an oversized propane bottle (the envy of every other Vanagon owner! I haven't filled it in 2.5 months of every day use). There are bug screens for the trunk, kitchen window, roof-light, front of pop-up. Some small holes in canvas but too small for mosquitos and otherwise good condition. Body - the chassis has no rust and for its age the body is really good. There are only a very small number of minimal surface rust spots which can be dealt with easily. At some point there must have been a small bump at the rear/right (see picture) that has been filled. Features: - roof bars, domestic battery, high spec CD-player and speakers, oversized propane bottle, fridge, 2-burner stove, sink, water tank, storage space, full car cover for storage, additional inventory (see below). A/C requires a new fan. Heating front and rear. Additional inventory includes: - Vanagon manual, tool kit, assorted fluids (brake, power steering, oil), cups/cutlery/plates/etc for 4, large sheet/rug, pillow and pillow case, silicon-collapsable kettle, non-stick pan/fryingpan, driver storage tray, power inverter. Viewing: the van is available for viewing. Recommended. Payment and Collection: Paypal deposit of $500 at successful completion of auction sale. Cash on collection or full payment by PayPal prior to collection. I will be away after Tuesday 11th September so collection and transfer of documentation arrangements post then need to be agreed early.
