Up for auction is my 1979 98 LX Sedan. this is the holy grail of 70s Olds luxury cars. most people have never even heard of the LX, and few have seen one. the car was a mid year 1979 addition to the olds lineup, and was only produced from mid 1979 and into the 1980 model year. forty four thousand original miles. the car is triple black, and possesses an older quality repaint. the LX was a loaded with options car, with tilt telescopic steering wheel, twin power seats with passenger recliner, working twilight sentinel, working power trunk, working stereo and 8-track player, cornering lamps, illum. pass. visor mirror, working cruise control, working, and accurate, digital clock, power windows, power locks, working climate control and working left and right side electric sideview mirrors. the interior is 99% perfect. the no crack dash is totally original, and looks new. the steering wheel has absolutely no cracks and the wood inlay is pefect with no peeling at all. the seats, armrests, steering column, carpet, trim and door panels are like new. the chrome and trim is very nice on this vehicle. silent 350 Olds gas engine, smooth turbo 400 trans. the tires are in near new condition, and recent parts replacements/ repairs include exhaust, battery, all 4 shocks, stabilizer links, full tune up, new A/C compressor and 134-A retrofit. under the hood is clean and fully intact, as is the trunk area. the frame, floorboards and trunk floor is exceptionall nice. this 98 LX is probably the only one you will find in the entire country for sale. the car shows no visible rust. the car is not perfect. the paint is thin in some spots and worn through in spots from being waxed over the years. there are door dings on the doors and there is a small dent on upper right front door, by mirror. the car is for sale locally and i reserve the right to end the auction early. the car is for sale, as-is, where-is, with no warranty, either expressed or implied. the buyer is responsible for all shipping costs, but i will assist as best i can. i request a $300 non-refundable deposit within 3 days of the winning bid, and full payment within 7 days of the conclusion of the auction, cash or certified check only. if you have any questions, or would like to inspect the car, which i welcome, please call Steve at 516-476-2380. thank you for viewing my auction, and good luck bidding.
