This is a nice, red, 1979 Datsun 620 king cab pickup. It has a 2000 engine with an automatic trans. It was bought for me a few months back. It has a great rot free body. It has a very straight body except for some bondo on the driver's door, and a small dent on the rear driver's side bed corner. (see pic). It is clean inside and out. Yes the dash is cracked in 2 places but covered with strips of velcro. The windshield is cracked. It only has 2 hub caps, no radio ant. and the beauty rings are gone.(stolen, another reason to sell it). The grill has a chunk missing on the driver's side, shown in the pictures. It has a NEW radiator($265.00) that also hooks to the transmission. It has a heavy duty bumper on the back. Tires are so-so. It has a nice red lifted camper on the back with tinted windows, a big extra multiple led tail light on the back-top, and a sliding front window. (truck does not have a sliding window though). It has the original jack and tools. Decent carpet. The seats have covers as they are worn. When I got it, it ran great but had a bad exhast leak. It towed an old VW BUG 20 miles with no problems. I drove it for a couple of months until a friend said this guy would fix the leak (exh. manifold gasket) for cheap. Well, $500.00 later it runs like crap as he messed with the emission control vacuum hoses and the carburator(there is a stick holding the choke open to keep it running) The air pump is still there. It has air conditioning, but the same guy took off the compressor and did not put it back on, but have the compressor and I think all of the other parts as well. I bought another carb for it but they want more money to make it right than I am willing to pay.....So, I am selling this truck as is. Like I said, it ran fine before this want-to-be-mechanic guy got ahold of it, so I don't think it is a major problem to get it back to running fine. It still runs and drives but lacks power, I am told it is probably a vacuum leak somewhere. I now have another truck. Oh, and it still has the exhast leak. The odometer says 62,000 miles on it so it could be either that or 162,000 miles, but the lack of wear on things makes me believe it is 62,000, but you decide. I think it has been repainted the original color. Not sure what else to say about it so please view pictures and email me with any questions before bidding. Thank you for looking.
