Selling my 1989 Volvo 760 Turbo sedan in great condition with 74,845 miles. I'm the second owner. Clean title, never any accidents. Engine is very strong and the turbo spools nicely. Transmission shifts smoothly. Interior is clean with no rips or tears. A/C blows cold. Audio system is original and working. New tires. Paint and body are all original and in great shape. Car has lived in Southern California all its life so no rust. Nearly always garaged; no smoking, no pets. I'm selling simply because I'm moving on to a different vehicle. The original owner was an engineer who purchased the car when he was 73. It was first titled in his business's name and then later in his name (reflected in the vehicle history report). He took meticulous care of it until age 90 when he parked it in his garage. I purchased it from his family in July 2009 with 64k on the odometer. When I got it I had it reconditioned including: removed gas tank for cleaning replaced all four fuel injectors new battery new radiator new thermostat flushed and refilled braking and cooling systems changed oil and oil filter Since then I have also had the following replaced: A/C condenser (system was retrofitted to R134a) timing belt & tensioner (June 2010 @ 67,894 miles) accessory drive belts front shocks hydraulic engine mounts transmission tailshaft bushings & seals driveshaft support transmission fluid, filter and gasket distributor cap, rotor, wires spark plugs fuel filter all four tires (General Altimax HP) less than 3,000 miles ago four wheel alignment regular oil changes with synthetic oil Car includes the original full-sized mounted spare tire and complete original tool kit. I have all the service records since new and all the original documentation, including the owner's manuals, warranty book, letter from Volvo dealer, Volvo On Call book, Volvo-branded cassette player cleaning kit, and more. The maintenance log book shows service stamps until 50,000 miles. Not sure if that particular service wasn't done or maybe just not documented, but the original owner was pretty elderly by then so who knows. I had the complete 50k service schedule done just to be sure. These are the only issues I'm aware of: rear driver-side power window is temperamental, usually not working cruise control not working small crack in windshield crack in grille radio console has broken mounting point Most of the service I had done was by Two Guys from Sweden or Victoria Motors (both are Swedish-run, highly regarded Volvo/Saab specialists in West L.A.) With the careful maintenance of the original owner and all the work I have had done since, the car is in great mechanical as well as cosmetic condition and should easily provide at least 150,000 more miles of strong driving.
