I'm selling this VW 1967 Type 3 Fastback Sunroof that I had bought as a planned project to fix and put on the road however priorities have changed so it is time to pass it on. Here are some of the things I noted that were selling points and needs when I bought it. Good -Mostly Original Paint with original Paint code sticker in front trunk -Sunroof Model.. I attempted to test the sunroof and it started to move so I didn't attempt to go any further without cleaning and lubing.. but it does begin to open with the crank -Really original car including 67 rims -Bumpers are pretty decent as is the aprons -Rockers don't seem to be showing to much rust -Car is a good roller and will be good for loading and transport -Motor is in the car complete Needs -Car has been off the road I think since 2000 so it will need brakes done and wiring gone through -Door windows, Regulators, Latches are removed and will need reinstalled -Quarter Popout Windows out of car however comes with new popout seals for install -Passenger pan needs battery tray section replaced -Drivers pan needs metal directly behind drivers seat patched -Front hood has been bumped but did not affect apron or fenders.. looks like it was pushed into something... fixable. -Drivers seat frame needs some fixing -Passenger Rear Quarter panel behind the door and in front of the wheel shows a prior repair but does not appear that there was major damage. -Needs Door Panels and Armrests Motor -I gave it a fresh fuel source and a temp battery and attempted to start the motor. Either the starter solenoid was bad or the wiring from ignition needs chased.. anyways.. I jumped the starter and it actually fired right up and idled. The muffler was rotted so I removed it and the following video was the motor running on just the header. I did no tuning, adjusting to the motor prior to trying to start it.
