Up for auction is this Original, 1966 Mustang. This is a "Numbers Matching", California Car. (Rust Free) It is equipped with the original 6 cylinder engine, with the "Smog Pump" and all the working components that it was born with. It also came out with the "Cruiseamatic" transmission, plus Power Steering. I refurbished the engine compartment and had all new "Dual Exhaust" system installed last week. "Everything" on this little Mustang works, except the "Horn"! All the dash instruments work, the heater and defroster work, the tail lights, brake lights, back up lights, interior lights the door lights (lights on the door panels) work, even the original radio works! Again, everything works, except the horn. The engine runs really nice and it steers really smooth. I had the car tuned a few weeks ago. New plugs, points, wires, distributor cap and oil changed. My mechanic said this mustang had been overhauled not to long ago, because of the compression that it has. The speedometer shows 88,987 miles. I cannot prove or disprove this, however, by the condition of the car, I would tend to believe this is true. The Mustang has the original paint color, Embergio. The paint is still in very nice condition and still shines. There are some minor dings and 2 small dents, as you can see in photo. The car has the original bumpers, almost perfect condition. The original bumper guards should be replaced, but are still in fair condition. All of the exterior chrome and stainless, and all glass is in very good condition. The windows all roll up and down nicely. This Mustang came out with the "Pony Interior," which it still has. There are "No rips or tears" on the seats. There is a 2" tear on the drivers door panel handle that is not very noticeable. The head liner is in good condition but has pulled away from the rear window on both sides. (repairable) The Mustang has all new tires and even a spare tire in the trunk. Also, the original jack and lug wrench, and trunk mat and tire cover. I usually go through a Mustang and restore and replace everything. However, this car was in such great shape and numbers matching, I wanted to leave it pretty much how I found it, except for the few things I mentioned above. This car runs and drives very nice. It would make a great "daily driver" ! Please call me with any questions you might have, or make an appointment and come and inspect it for yourself.
