I’ve got a great truck up for a NO RESERVE auction here. It’s a 1997 Ford F-250 Crew Cab Short Bed, with a 7.3l Powerstroke Diesel and it’s a 4x4! It’s probably one of the rarest of the type, and it runs and drives great. Please take a look at the pictures, I have taken over 70 of them so you can get a great idea of what you’ll be getting into. If you have any questions, feel free to ask via email. The driveline of this old truck is next to perfect. It’s got the famous 7.3l Powerstroke Diesel in it that runs like a top. It starts when it’s cold, doesn’t smoke a bit, and is ALL STOCK. It’s had a set of injectors put in it and it doesn’t miss out a bit. Even the exhaust is stock (see pics) with muffler still in tact. The 4x4 works without issues, the hubs in front have been replaced with reliable lock-outs instead of the auto hubs Ford used. It has a good set of Hankook tires on it (a bit noisy but decent tread), brakes feel great, clutch bites hard, and the motor runs fantastic. There are no wet spots under the truck, and there is NO RUST. It is all dry, everywhere. The transmission works great, shifts through all of the gears but has a little scratch going from 2nd to 3rd gear for the first few shifts of the day. Probably a worn Synchronizer, but if you don’t shift it like a mustang, normally it doesn’t do it at all. It doesn’t scare me one bit, but I don’t like surprises for my customers! It’s got 259k on it, but sure doesn’t drive like it! The exterior of the truck is in great shape for a 97! There is no rust on the body that I can find, at all. The only rust at all is on the rear bumper (in pics). The bottoms of the doors, rockers, and over the wheel wells are clean (see pics) as can be. The paint is clean, other than a few scratches that are to be expected from a truck of this age. I don’t think that there are any scratches that can’t be buffed out, just being honest. I have taken a couple of pictures of them so you know what you’re getting into. The panels are straight, not rusty, and line up great. There are a few dings here and there, but I’ve taken pics of all of them. The tailgate could use replaced as well, it’s banged up pretty well, but shows and works fine the way it is. The interior is probably one of the cleanest I’ve seen on one of these trucks. There are no rips or tears anywhere and everything seems to work! It’s got power lumbar in the seats as well. They are not broken down like most of them, so someone definitely took care of it. The carpet is in great shape as well, no stains, rips, tears, or anything like that. The air conditioning is so cold it will freeze the snot in your nose, and the heat is hot as well. It has all of the power options you could possibly ask for on one of these like cruise control, power windows, power door locks, and keyless entry. All in all, it’s a great old truck that needs a new home. I have it for sale on the lot as well, so it may be pulled from here if it sells. It is very clean, and it is VERY hard to find a Crew Cab short bed anywhere, let alone a rust free one. This is a NO RESERVE auction, whatever the truck brings it will sell for. I’ve seen some of these do $3000 and I’ve seen some do over $10,000...it’s up in the air until you click the button. I try to describe these vehicles to the best of my ability because I don’t like surprises and I know my customers don’t like them either! Please keep in mind that this truck is a 1997 and not a 2007, I promise you that it isn’t new...but it is a GOOD old stock truck that is ready for a new owner.
