Vehicle Detail

History of this Charger: You are bidding on an amazing all original, numbers matching, 1969 Dodge Charger. I am the third or fourth owner of this Charger. I bought it on eBay in November, 2002. It was painted yellow when I bought it, and the prior owner had done most of the restoration. I had it painted Hugger Orange in late 2003. I had the General Lee decals affixed in July, 2005. The fun thing about this 1969 Charger General Lee replica is that Warner Bros. Film Studios used it locally in Houston, Texas to promote the 2005 Dukes of Hazzard theatrical movie. For the opening week of the movie, this Charger was displayed inside one of Houston's most popular multi-plexes and on Warner Bros. website to promote the Dukes of Hazzard movie. I will send pictures of the display upon request. The car was garaged for 5 years and in my driveway under cover for 5 years. The 383 engine is the rebuilt original. It is numbers matching with the original fender tag. In the process of painting it Hugger Orange, my body shop removed the chrome trim, the hood, the trunk, the doors, the windshields, and the interior door panels. The metal was sandblasted before painting it orange. The front windshield was replaced in 2003, because my body shop broke the old one. The back windshield is original. The exterior does have a little bit of rust that has come back since the restoration, but it is not significant. Please refer to the pictures. The car runs, drives, and looks great. Everything works on the car with the exception of the tic toc tachometer, factory clock, and some of the guages. The speedomter works. The body is excellent condition (less the minor rust areas). The body is straight with crisp body lines. The panels fit like they should. Doors open and close great. (They are not welded shut like the General Lee.) The front grill looke great, and the vaccum operated hideaway headlights do not have any problems. The bumpers are original and look decent. They have never been re-chromed though. The chrome trim around the doors and the windows looks great. The carpet has been replaced and looks fine. There are no problems with the seats. There are no cracks or cuts in the vinyl seats. The dashboard is not cracked, and the vinyl looks great. There are some minor bubble spots and a few scratches on the exterior. Please refer to the pictures, and do not hesitate to call or e-mail with questions. My cell number is (713) 562-2700. The undercarriage is clean with no rust problems as far as I know. There are no rust in the floor panels or in the trunk as far as I know. The frame rails and floor pans are in amazing condition front to back as far as I know. When I bought it in 2002, I drove it from Tucker, Georgia to Houston, Texas. It made the trip without any problems. It holds about 22 gallons of gas, and I get about 200 miles per tank. You too could comfortably drive this car home cross country in my opinion. I have tried to cover everything. Do not hesitate to call or e-mail with question.
