Vehicle Detail

A great barn find! A project that looks like it was started in the 80s and has sat inside ever since! 1946 Hudson with a very clean installation of a corvette front end with a transverse leaf and power rack and pinion, new 10 bolt rear end, all glass perfect, only slight surface rust, new headliner, new rear seat back, rear seat cushion missing, front seats are from a Cadillac and are in fair condition mostly there for mock up or could be reupholstered , no engine or transmission but mounts are set up for your Chevy, GM etc, good year eagle wide profile tires are like new, IROC alloy rims, factory tilt front end, chevy steering column hooked to the corvette rack and pinion works well enough to steer onto the trailer but not to drive as it needs it's steering linkage improved once engine is in place (mostly needs 2 links replaced by one but hard to do this before knowing what engine and exhaust will be used), most chrome and trim included (see picture) I would guess 90 -95% complete. I bought this because I wanted a unique hot rod but now I have too many projects so the reserve is about half what I have into it. Will assist in shipping however I can but please contact me before the auction ends and talk to me about any special shipping arrangements also can store if car is paid in full and you take over storage payments. Despite what the listing says above car will be sold with Bill of Sale and no title due to its age. In many states this is all you need but if your state requires title (like Colorado - my state) then title can be gotten for around $420 through international title service including first year of plates I can forward their email to you with more explanation. Again I will help however I can however this is how I bought the car and obtaining final title, plates etc. once the car is roadworthy is your responsibility. Cliff On Aug-31-12 at 18:11:00 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had questions on the serial number - it is on a plate by the passenger door frame and reads serial # 3158206, from looking online at some of the Hudson forums it appears that I was mistaken and the 3 in the beginning of the number indicates the year as 1943 and not 1946 sorry for any confusion On Sep-01-12 at 07:11:15 PDT, seller added the following information: Ok seems like I may have confused myself, as someone on here as pointed out it seems unlikely that the car would of been made during the war effort, so the website suggesting the first digit of the serial number is the year must be wrong, or maybe I read the number wrong, although I don't think so since the plate is in very good condition On Sep-01-12 at 07:30:00 PDT, seller added the following information: Ok I found a better website for serial number information and it appears that the first digit was the year for many years of Hudsons but not in 1946, from this site serial number 3158206 is in fact a 1946 Hudson Super Six - again sorry for the confusion, I just want to be absolutely sure I accurately convey all the information I have, keep the questions coming
