I'm selling this VW 1970 Type 3 Squareback Widebody that I had bought as a planned project to fix and put on the road however priorities have changed so it is time to pass it on. Here are some of the things I noted that were selling points and needs when I bought it. Good -Body is super straight with no signs of rust -Somebody spend a lot of time adding these modified bug fenders to turn it into a wide body squareback -Car was complete and had not been off the road for too many years -Pan's on the car are pretty darn solid and not rotten like most out there -Motor was in the car and I verified it turned by hand and not locked up -Rolls easy for transport -IRS Manual Transmission Needs -I don't have the key so buyer will need to have on made -Paint on hood and roof is sun burnt and some cracking / chips around the body mods -The motor looks to have been converted from fuel injection to carbs but neither are present -The motor has had the rear cooling shroud and fan shroud removed. The outer fan pulley was broken and I was crossing my fingers that the reason the car came off the road back in the day was because they had overtightened the generator belt causing the fan pulley to break. Included with the sale is a replacement Inner Fan and outer Fan pulley. -Obviously the car has been off the road for some years so the brakes and electrical will need to be gone through. I've got the Washington State Title signed and in hand for whomever buys the rig. Buyer to pick up or arrange shipping withing 7 days of the auction ending.
