Vehicle Detail
**NO RESERVE**This is a 1969 Fiat 124 Spider, it was a gift from my father in law for a project. When I got it it did not have any floors in it or any interior. I bought some seats for it that are hard to adjust and rock a little bit. He had fiberglassed the dash back together and due to it looking really bumpy, I added felt over it and also onto the door panels that are home made. I just took a piece of sheet metal and bent over the end. This car was fun to work on but due to it needing more work and my lack of money to put into it, it has just remained a decoration in my fathers shop! Now I have purchased a new car and do not have room for it. This car runs but I can not fully say how reliable it is...I drove it multiple times the college that I am attending which is about an hr and 10 minutes away. This is a very fun car to drive and I am sad to see it go but i am getting no use out of it sitting in a shop. The transmission leaks, i try to refill it when i can but i have not really driven it for a long time. My suggestion would be to bring a trailer to pick it up. You are more than welcome to email me any questions you may have and when you come to pick it up you can test drive it...I have had problems in the past where the brakes locked up after it sat for a long time but after the auction closes i will be sure to free them up and give the battery a charge. The battery is almost dead all the time so a new battery is needed, plus a lot of TLC. If you are buying this to fix up make sure you check out all the pictures below to see all the rust and spots that were attempted to make it look better. The back window on the convertible top is torn out. The tail light covers are some that I bought at Walmart and placed over the lights. The car smokes when it starts up i believe it is due to leaking oil on the engine but i am not positive...also i think the exhaust manifold leaks a bit. The car had a short when i took it on a two hour road trip, between the fuel pump and the battery, so I placed a switch to turn on the fuel pump and as a result this car has a makeshift antitheft mechanism! lol please look this car over well because it is selling as is and has quite a few defects to the body and interior. Don't forget this is a fix up car that needs lots of work! This car does have good tires that are basically new. And you can see with the pictures that the front covers on the dash are not in and broken, the speedometer works but all other gages worked when i got it but somewhere in between they stopped! The middle consol is missing which had the heater controls and radio. There are no speakers or radio.
