Vehicle Detail
This is a 1956 VW Beetle I bought 2 years ago from a gentleman in Miamia Florida. I'm 39 and growing up I read Hot VWs until my eyes bled. I finally got the resources together and my daughter and I drove from Birmingham, AL and bought it. We rented a UHaul trailer and brought it home the next day. I generally have eclectic taste in vehicles so I was very surprised by how many people LOVE this car. I've owned over 20 cars in my life and this is the on that has gotten the most attention. The car was restored in 2000 by another gentleman and has pretty much been a garage queen since. It has the original 36 HP motor which runs great and has no trouble keeping up with traffic. The PO installed an OKASA carb and cylinder head kit that adds 3 or 4 more HP and looks really cool. The car even has an NOS fuel cap. The BOSCH distributor has been detailed and is a work of art. The car has a narrowed and adjustable front beam. The Porsche Fuchs are finely detailed and the lug nuts are even perfect. The vehicle has EMPI disc brakes with rotors that have been specially dipped to prevent any rust from forming. I have the original wheels, front beam, brakes, heads, etc... if you'd like to take the car back to stock. The only issues with the car is there is one small ding in the back left fender with no paint damage that I don't even notice but it's there. There are few paint chips next to the driver's mirror where the mirror hit the paint when I putting on the car cover (oh the irony). Otherwise the car is super clean. No oil leaks, starts and drives fine. Reason for selling? I literally have 3 other water cooled VWs (2 which I am selling), a daily driver, and I just bought a 2008 M3. I'm literally just out of garage space. This is a hard add to write. Please ask questions via ebay as I'll be checking in and see the link below for a slideshow of pictures I took last weekend.
