Vehicle Detail
Here is a 2002 Mercury Villager "Sport". We are the second owners and have owned it for 7 years. Bought from a Ford dealership where it was traded in at some point. We have maintained it and it has been a good vehicle for us. We are selling it to buy something a bit newer and our "nest" has gotten smaller over the years so we want a smaller car too. This is a non-smoking owner vehicle. I have priced it lower than blue book in order to sell quickly. I will start with the negative items......As you see it has no small hub caps. (I still have one) they have gotten lost along the way due to cheep plastic tabs as holding devices into the alloy wheels. They can be purchased online for around $60.00 bucks. Never got around to it. Transmission went out 2 years ago and it had a total rebuild by a reputable shop and has run fine ever since. Cruise control does not work and stopped working when transmission was repaired. My guess is that a wire was not hooked up but we never use cruise so decided to let it be. Passenger window does not work. (switch issue). Interior climate control dash fan only works on high speed. Had that checked and it worked for a week. My guess is another loose wire or plug. Has a 2 inch split in leather front drivers seat as can be seen in photos. No key chain remote. It fell apart, but the system works if you get another. (key works fine for all locks). Has minor hail damage on top surfaces. Never had a real accident but has a few dents here and there as shown in photos. Worst is the rear quarter panel on passenger side where some one backed into me while leaving a parking lot. I pulled it out to make it presentable but was difficult due to the fact that the rear A/C fan was in the way. (No damage to fan or interior). NOW the good things.......Has 6 cylinder engine that is tight and uses no oil to speak of. NO LEAKS in tranny or engine. Comes with leather seats that have mild wear and are in overall excellent condition. Drivers side electric seat controls. (No heated seat) Factory floor mats. Electric windows, locks and mirrors. Lighted vanity mirrors. VCR system that works fine for those long drives or to keep any kids happy for a bit. AM/FM cassette sound system with front to rear fade. Works fine and sounds great. Rear temp and sound controls. (very handy to keep from hearing complaints from the rear). Lots of storage! Seats have movable arm rests and seats are removable for large items, more leg room, or to clean. Seats fold down with cup holders and eating/game surfaces. Adjustable steering wheel. Rear wiper. Good Glass all around. Lots "O" cup holders. Rear seat pockets. Tachometer. Push button over drive. Fog lamps. Front air bags. Excellent paint with no clear coat damage. Adjustable luggage racks on roof. Brakes work great and stops straight. Tire have 70% tread. Drives straight and shifts smooth. Starts right up. Battery fairly new. CV joints were replaced about a year ago. Removable storage shelf inside rear hatch. OH, A/C and heat work great! ..................I've done my best to be honest about the condition of this van. HOWEVER......Please ask any and all questions in time for a response because I don't want any BOO-HOOING when it comes time to pick it up. Check my feedback and purchase with confidence. This really is a fine van.
