1964 Pontiac Grand Prix. 389 with Slim Jim automatic transmission. The car originally came from Nevada. The body, frame, floors, and floor braces are in very nice condition. The paint on the car is driver quality. The interior has been reupholsted. The dash pad is nice, but the woodgrain on the dash is rough. The steering wheel is out of a '63 and is rough. The chrome on the car is original and in good condition but shows wear. The car has newer Cragar wheels and radial tires. The engine starts right up. It has a light lifter noise when first started after sitting a long period of time but the engine does not smoke or have any other noises. The radiator has a small leak. The Slim Jim transmission probably needs some work. It shifts okay but shudders in drive. The car had an incorrect air cleaner but I found an original for the car but it needs painted. The car has a newer exhaust with turbo style mufflers. The brakes were all redone about five years ago but the car has been sitting and they are grabbing a little. The taillights do not work and their is an issue with the cancel cam in the steering column (the blinkers come on when turning the steering wheel). The car needs some TLC but could be a nice driver with a little work. The car is being sold as is where is and should be trailered home. I took the car on about a 5 mile drive to check it over after I got it out of storage and it made it but I would not drive it any distance without doing some work to the car, so please do not bid if you think you are buying a car that you can jump in and drive home. The car has a lot of potential, but not without a little work.
