I purchased this car after a 3 year search for the perfect Mk1 GTI. I found one with zero rust, great mechanical condition that needed a little cosmetic work to make it perfect. After a $6000 paint job, new interior – very difficult to find, headliner, windshield, stereo, tires and wheels I have decided to move on to my next money losing project. Over $12k invested in this one, but my son and I loved doing it. It has been very well taken care of and maintained. Oil was changed every 3k miles. Every system of this car has been addressed. The suspension has Bilstein sport shocks and Neuspeed Sport springs. This car has Neuspeed upper stress bar and Neuspeed Lower stress bar for added structural rigidity. It also has upgraded Neuspeed front and rear sway bars. Car comes with a spare set of Enkei RP02 Racing Wheels that are very light at 12.6 lbs each. They are perfect without blemishes or curbing. The Kumho supra 712’s have about 4k miles on them. As far as intake and exhaust, it has a K&N panel air filter, a Neuspeed throttle body, ported intake. It has an upgraded manifold to pump out more air. It has a techtonics race downpipe and a 2 and ¼ techtonics exhaust with flowmaster muffler and stainless steel tip. This car is a blast to drive. It’s very quick and nimble. Has a nice rumble from the exhaust.
