Hello and thanks for looking Due to our downsizing, I have reluctantly decided to sell my 1979 MGB Roadster that has been my personal driver for the last 10 years or so. I am the second owner as I purchased it from the original owner. It has 37,800 actual miles on it and I have the original window sticker from MG of Troy Mi. I have replaced the following : Fuel tank with new one from Moss Motors Fuel pump with solid state S/U for reliability Ansa Exhaust system Upgraded the cooling fans with an aftermarket fan system Replaced the flaky Zenith Stromberg carb with twin SU HIF Carbs for improved starting and performance replaced a cracked cylinder head last year with a reconditioned one from Ted Schumacher of Schumacher Imported Automotive The body and floors are in very good condition and the Brooklands Green paint still looks good with a couple of scratches here and there The Autumn Leaf interior is also in great shape with no tears or dash cracks The Pirelli tires are very good as are the brakes The only minor issues I can think of are The cig lighter doesn't work as I used it to power the radio the windshield washer pump is inop but I will include a new motor the heater doesn't put out any hot air, I believe that the heater core needs to be back flushed The FM radio antenna is not connected as I was using XM radio or my Ipod for music You would have to activate the XM Radio as I have cancelled it This is a great looking, very reliable MGB that would be a great driver as is to enjoy the rest of the summer or a great candidate for a driving restoration or a Rover V-8 conversion as it is a straight bolt in I also have some parts and a ton of books and manuals that go with it I have priced it to sell with NO reserve so bid to own Thank youOn Aug-18-12 at 04:14:55 PDT, seller added the following information:One thing I forgot to mention is that on occasion it will make a squeal when starting out it is very intermittent and very brief when it occurs. If has never gotten any worse,and it never bothered me. If I was to guess I'd say it was clutch noise. But that's just a guess. Shouldn't be a deal breaker, but if it is I'll understand
