Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1995 Honda Civic DX with only 87,700 miles. One owner, no rust, runs great, reliable, and is in great shape! The car has been meticulously maintained and driven with care since it was purchased at Rick Hendrick Honda in Charleston, SC. The car spent 1995 to 2005 and its first 79,000 miles in South Carolina in a rust-free environment. For the past seven years and 8,000 miles, the car has been kept in a climate-controlled garage in Hoboken, New Jersey, and has only been driven locally in good weather. You won't believe what great shape this car is in. The oil has been meticulously changed every 3,000 miles since the car was purchased. In 2009, the timing belt, drive belts, and hoses were all changed. In 2010, the radiator and transmission fluid were flushed, and the car was tuned up, which included replacing the spark plugs, spark plug wires, and distributor. Also in 2010, the exhaust was overhauled, was completely replaced by Midas, and has a lifetime warranty. The battery was just replaced and has a seven-year warranty. The car has Michelin X tires that have about 4,000 miles on them. All major systems, such as the brakes, transmission, etc. work great. Everything but the stereo system is original equipment. The stereo is a 160w Pioneer with CD player, detachable face, iPod connectivity/integration, remote control, 4 Boston Acoustic speakers, and has XM radio (XM subscription/service not included). This system was installed in 2006 and works perfectly. Issues: there are a few dents on the hood, as shown in the pictures. One of the horn buttons is missing as pictured, but the horn works fine. The bumpers have been touched up with matching touchup paint, but the dings are not noticeable. Other than that, the car is wonderful, and just passed the rigorous NJ inspection (where they check emissions, suspension, lights, etc.) in January 2012. I have been an eBay member since 2001, have close to 1,000 transactions with 100% positive feedback. I have successfully sold 6 of my cars on eBay over the years to very happy buyers. This particular car is very special -- it was my wife's first and only car, and she has owned it since it was brand new. It is her baby, and she has treated it as such. It is difficult to part with this special vehicle, but we have no room to store it anymore, and its time for someone else to enjoy this car. Feel free to have an inspection of the vehicle performed to confirm the condition as described. You will not be disappointed. The car is available for inspection in Hoboken, New Jersey. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. On Aug-07-12 at 15:33:13 PDT, seller added the following information: CLARIFICATION: The CarFax/AutoCheck report states that there have been two owners of this car. There has been only one owner of this car -- my wife. When we were married in 2005, we moved the car to New Jersey and had to register it here in her married name. Accordingly, CarFax and AutoCheck think that there have been two owners (because of the change in last name), when in fact, there has been only one. On Aug-09-12 at 07:36:39 PDT, seller added the following information: QUESTIONS ABOUT BLUE BOOK VALUE: If you are wondering about the Blue Book value of this car, you can easily check it on www.autotrader.com. AIR CONDITIONING: The air conditioning works well. However, for the past ten years, I have charged it with freon every two years or so. On Aug-13-12 at 18:20:27 PDT, seller added the following information: BODY WORK: This car has never been in an accident. It has not been wrecked in any form or fashion. This is evident from the AutoCheck report above, and from a CarFax report. However, the front passenger's side quarter panel, and the rear driver's side quarter panel both had dents on them, and I had them repaired and painted at a cost of $400 (they were very minor). I never got around to fixing the dent on the hood.
